Definitely not recommended!
Staying at the Elegance Premium Hotel Hanoi was a huge disappointment.
The first room was unreasonable. No functioning air conditioning, strong stench, mold on the walls, broken doors and extreme humidity. The beds were unusable as feathers protruded from the mattress in both rooms.
After telling a staff member, we were given another room that was only slightly better and remained well below any acceptable hotel standard.
We traveled in Vietnam for three weeks and experienced much better hotels throughout for less money.
The location is really top and the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but it is obvious that the hotel is aware that the rooms do not correspond to what is shown online.
The images on the Internet are heavily embellished and misleading.
Definitely not recommended.

Very disappointed with the stay, we booked via Booking thinking we would please ourselves on our last nights before returning to France. Rooms 218 and 418 data extremely disappointed us. Sold on Booking in higher category is a shame, they are windowless, above the kitchens wake up at 7am from breakfast openings, outdated. The main door of room 218 is glazed, the hallway light is present throughout the night in the room. The manager(s) maintain that the photos mentioned on booking are the right ones. The positive is breakfast and kindness and availability of staff for this service

DON’T RUIN YOUR TRIP – AVOID ELEGANCE PREMIUM HOTEL
I booked two rooms at Elegance Premium Hotel, and it turned out to be the worst decision of my entire trip. The moment I opened the door, a strong musty smell hit me. The pillows and mattress were damp and cold, the toilet paper was moldy, and the cardboard core was taped together as if it had been reused. The bathroom was old and run-down, the metal rack was rusty, and the hairdryer was worn out with exposed sharp edges, which felt dangerous to use. There was no hand soap provided, and shockingly, the power switch was located right next to the shower, which is extremely unsafe.
The mini-fridge had been placed inside the wardrobe and made loud noises the whole time until I unplugged it, and when I opened it, there was a lingering smell like old durian. The air conditioner was leaking dirty yellowish water underneath, clearly showing it had not been cleaned for a long time. The shelves and corners of the room were covered in thick dust as if they had never been wiped. The AC blew directly at the bed, causing headaches, but if I turned it off, the room became unbearably stuffy because there was no ventilation or airflow at all—uncomfortable and unhealthy. Anyone with small children or elderly family members should be even more cautious.
In total, I spent about 2 hours in the room, left for 2 hours, then came back and tried to rest—but after just 30 minutes, I decided I could not stay another night. From the moment I paid to the moment I gave up was only about 4.5 hours. I forced myself to sleep one night, and the next morning, the unpleasant smell still lingered. The room reminded me of cheap student dorms more than ten years ago—small, damp, suffocating—and felt more like a closed cell with no sense of day or night. I genuinely worried that if a fire occurred, there would be no proper escape route. The elevator was extremely cramped, and the staircase felt unsafe and makeshift.
What was even worse than the condition of the rooms was the attitude of the staff. From check-in until the end, there was no sense of professionalism or hospitality. On booking.com and other platforms, the hotel advertises “free cancellation at any time,” yet when I requested a refund for the unused night, they refused. Only when I firmly insisted did they offer to refund 50%, acting as if they were doing me a favor—despite the fact that the service was not used at all. This felt like an intentional attempt to withhold money paid by the customer.
I paid 5,400,000 VND for two nights and two rooms via direct bank transfer, because they claimed paying by card would incur an additional 3% fee. When I questioned their lack of transparency, they dismissed my concerns and even challenged me to post online or contact the authorities. That reaction alone speaks volumes about their customer service and professionalism.
I’m sharing this experience so future travelers have accurate information instead of relying on misleading photos and surprisingly high ratings. My sincere advice: don’t waste your time, money, holiday, or any moment of your life here. There are countless better, cleaner, safer, and more trustworthy options available—and based on my experience, Elegance Premium Hotel is absolutely not one of them.

Cannot recommend
The staff on the reception desk tried their best and were as helpful as they could be. Unfortunately the room 506 is not fit for habitation
There is mold in the room disguised with the over use of air freshener. The bed should be disposed of and is beyond repair having no structural integrity left. We booked for three nights and checked out after the first night as our health is more important.

The photos online are very deceptive. The manager offered a different room for us but it was not any better. Being nonrefundable, we were stuck and hosed
