Amazing hostel with good vibes only

A really cozy hostel that will make you want to extend your stay the minute you enter! The owner and staff are extremely kind and helpful - you feel they are doing what they love. The hostel has such good vibes - the pool area, many hammocks, beautiful garden, cutest three dogs and a cat, cool surf/artsy decorations … you have to experience it yourself! Excellent value for money, 1min walk from the bus stops connecting you to Punta del Este (15min), Jose Ignacio (30min) and many other places. The price includes a breakfast with coffee, juice and bread they make themselves at the hostel! Great kitchen that’s well equipped and clean, the whole hostel is really well taken care of. Stay in La Barra and enjoy relaxed holidays - Punta del Este is really close if you want to experience lots of traffic and people! Amazing value for money and such a great experience. Highly recommended!

Lovely hostel, soured by overcharging

I really enjoyed my stay at this place, it has everything you need and the staff are all really warm and friendly.
Unfortunately my stay was soured by a bad experience. We hired bikes from the hostel and 1 hour in the cassette on the bike broke (extremely rare and not my fault in any way). We then spent 1.5 hours trying to fix the bike, before having to hitch hike back with 2 bikes from Punta Del Este. We were still charged for 2 x full day bike hire, 1200 pesos!!!! Which was more than our accommodation costs.
Can’t help but feel ripped off. Lost the best part of a day and had to pay a high price for it.

Location, Comfort, Vibe, Relaxing. What you want and where you want to be.

Awesome spot, awesome staff, awesome hostel. Its in La Barra, which is where you want to be. Easy 15 minute bus from Punta del Este and it drops you right there. Only 25 meters from the main street, supermarket, cafes, restaurants etc. but on a quiet street. Big green garden. Pool. Hammocks. Across from a nice park and about 90 second walk to 3 beaches. I booked 2 nights, stayed 7. That should put it in perspective. Thank you Gabo, Guz, Arthur. Was an awesome time!

Could be much better

A Nice location really close to bars and restaurants. The staff is really nice and receptive. The breakfast is normal (coffe, milk,bread and corn Flakes). The bathroom is dirty and the mattress is terrible. The most negative point is the cleaning definitely. Maybe they should clean twice a day instead once.

A place to stay but it's overpriced for what they have to offer location is good but accomadation is overpriced hostile is clean but could do with a revamp
Staff are friendly and helpful but will charge u top dollar for your stay so proceed with caution if one is to stay here
