Very impressive
I visited this hotel on two different occasions during the end of September 2020. First of all, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, is a hallmark of this hotel. During both of my stays, they never said “no” to any of my requests, and they accommodated me with all of my needs. Rooms are very clean, functional, and aesthetically appealing. Breakfast is very nice. When I could not stay for the breakfast, they prepared it to go. When I requested coffee at 6am, it was ready. When I forgot my clothes in the room after checkout, they sent it to me to the airport with the taxi driver. I will absolutely consider them again for my future stays in Odessa.

Not quite a boutique yet
Had high expectations for this hotel. Unfortunately it was rather disappointing. Hotel has a huge potential but management strategy is very poor.
First of all we booked a suite with a balcony (according to booking.com) Got a room without a balcony. Turns out there are two types of suites - with a balcony and without. Staff is friendly but lacking problem solving skills. So after complaining about this they just shrug their shoulders.
You have to preorder your breakfast in advance. Keep in mind additional drinks (ex. juices) are not included, so you have to pay extra. There is no self service snack bar. So selection is limited to one plate of breakfast only.
Keep in mind doors are locked for the night. So if you are coming back late you have to ring the bell and pray to all gods, that staff isn’t sleeping. Had to stand for twenty minutes in the rain while trying to ring the bell, knock on the door and call them on the phone. Staff is working 24hr shifts, they need to sleep, that’s understandable, but guests shouldn’t experience consequences of this poor staff management. Is it that hard to install a keycard lock on the entrance door?
A true boutique would pay attention to details and congratulate guests on their birthday. Well… that didn’t happen.
Rooms are okay, spacious tastefully decorated but lacking a good noise isolation.
Overall, we are disappointed. Not quite a boutique yet.

Great hotel and friendly staff
The hotel is situated in the city center. The main sightseeing is in 10-15 minutes walk, which you are likely to enjoy. The main railway station is very close, so if you arrive by train, this might be a good option. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would like to thank them for the early check in and especially for a very clean, well furnished and cozy room. The tv has a smart tv option so you can enjoy your favorite you tube videos. The breakfast is included in the reasonable price, so do not forget to order it in the evening at reception. I recommend De Volan for various kinds of trips. Thank you and good luck!

Little treasure
This is a real find in historical center of Odessa. The staff is very helpful, most of them speak good English. Breakfasts were really nice. Rooms are very comfy. Whole place is impeccably clean and cozy.
Famous Privoz markets are 5min away, small supermarket is next door to the hotel. We went there every day to buy ice cream, it is quite nice and selection is good.
Tours can be organized from reception, guys kindly rang and sorted it for us while we went for a walk. Railway Station is 10min walk.
We choose the place because it was in the right area for us and very well priced. In the end we were very pleasantly surprised, this place was a lot more than we expected.

5 Star! Clean, beautiful, great location...nothing was a problem.
Firstly, I will be staying here again 100% if Odessa, I will not bother to look anywhere else.
This hotel delivered, I'm a solo female traveller visiting family but also needing to feel safe when they were busy and out and about on my own. In saying this, I also feel this hotel is able to deliver on many different people's needs.
Very good English and a 24hr reception desk=winner! Made absolutely everything easy from general questions to booking taxis etc. They contacted me prior my visit via Viber which I loved, it was caring, professional and instant. All requests were never a problem and FOH staff attentive and genuine.
The room was beautiful and more over extremely clean and up to date and logical. Lovely decor, the air con was efficient and a good T.V. Special touches included the two choices of pillow hardness, great thought. Good amount of plug sockets and storage and hangers included! A safe inside wardrobe. Water provided regularly and dressing gowns and slippers for a nice luxurious touch.
Bathroom: Lovely big size and very clean and new, wonderful facility, a joy! Hairdryer provided and well placed shaving socket. Great storage and shampoos, shower gel etc provided and restocked.
Breakfast is included and was also a great addition to this hotel. You decide the night before from a choice of 4-5 options and a time you would like to visit. This sounds restrictive but the choices are great and the room to eat is like a small restaurant. Eating solo was comfortable and nothing a problem, great coffee and the great service continued here. The choices are "local" but internationally accessible, fresh, great coffee and I thoroughly enjoyed. If you're a big eater I would order two plates.
Finally the wifi here is the finishing touch. For business or pleasure the connection is great, not super super fast as in for conference calls etc, but very very good and helped make my stay easier. There is a little smoking balcony on the room level so you don't need to go down to the street level to smoke.
The location is right off the main street with a little "supermarket" directly next to for water or supplies etc. The location of this hotel is it's top mark. You can walk to many famous sites if you want to do the tourist thing. I found eating alone fine as there are many cafes, bars and restaurants with a wide variety of price choices right on your door step, as well as banks and currency exchange. I would still take cash for most places.
Close enough to the airport, a local taxi will cost around 200 local or the hotel shuttle for safety and ease around 400 one way. The hotel is up flights of stairs (no lift) the staff help with your bags which is lovely but if you have walking problems there are enough stairs that this may disrupt your stay.
I was in room 304 (standard double) this room had double aspect windows and was right on the main street side. This room suited me personally very well as I could see all going on and feel involved (with a school next door), but if you need a very quiet room this is not for you. It has regular city living noise, transport etc, which didn't bother me at all as the windows are good, but just a thought if you're on business or are a sensitive sleeper.
Housekeeping did a great job, FOH as mentioned, nothing at all seemed a problem and I felt comfortable and valued my whole stay. It was a pleasure and I will be back my next Odessa trip.
Just for the hotel: maybe add a long length mirror in the main room, as only a big face mirror in the bathroom limited your ability to get ready, especially is someone else is in the bathroom. Make the "DND" and "Make up my room" sign different colours on either side so the housekeeping can see the difference from afar, as one day my room didn't get attention because of this I think, no problem just maybe a thought.
FYI: I didn't have time to take photos on this occasion but I can honestly say the photos used are realistic and trustworthy in my experience.
