My Hotel in Odessa for two weeks.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here at the Panteleymonovskaya Hotel.
The staff have been very helpful, and very patient with my complete lack of Ukranian or Russian Language. I made a suggestion for them to have English menus in the restaurant, and they acted on that straight away, which makes life easy.
The rooms are very clean and tidy, and the Aircon works really well.
The hotel is a little distance from the main street. But if you go one block west, then head south to wards the main street of Diribmonovskaya, then it is a pleasant walk down a tree line street, which gets shade all day on at least one side from the hot summer sun.
The hotel is surronded by very cheap markets, good shops for conveniences, and many good clothes stores, where I found lots of specials.

Far from ideal

A basic run down hotel located quite a way from the city centre in a shopping district with markets to the rear. The area has quite a few drunks and down and outs, although I didn't feel threatened I felt I should be on my guard. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to the centre in not the best of areas. The hotel itself is gloomy and dated. Our room was very big with a good sized flat screen tv. It had a fridge and water was provided daily. The air conditioning was effective but noisy. There were quite a few options at breakfast but from UK citizens point of view most was unappetizing apart from the rolls and jam. More fruit and decent coffee would have been appreciated.
Reception is on the 7th floor which we found inconvenient when waiting for a taxi.
The food court 'Fresh Market' diagonally to the right across the road with a brown pitched roof is worth checking out. Although it looks empty in the evening with only a few food stalls the couple we ate at provided us with freshly prepared tasty food in the evening together with beer from a stall selling a good choice of beers.

i Don't recommend it

it is not for tourists, and it is far from the center, plus my room smelled really bad, the receptionist was really dumb, he didn't tell me that i am not allowed to have breakfast for free until i found by myself and it was really embarrassing. there are other hotels in the center for the same price with better receptionist :-)

Comfort stay

It was a good and comfort stay in this Odessa hotel ,its in city center but not very close to main streets.By taxi it takes just a few pounds to get to Deribasovskaya . cleanliness and quality of room was better than i expected .

Nice business hotel

It was a nice hotel, but not for tourists. The room was clean, but the walls were thin.The staff was helpfull and friendly. The hotel wasn't located near the city, you must walk 25 minutes to the center of Odessa. Breakfast was poor.
