Very good hotel
Hotel Oberig was my choice and I was genuinely happy with it!
I took a basic room but the size was good, bed very comfortable, everything was new and very clean. The streets outside are quite noisy, however room was air-conditioned and if you close the window, the noise from outside is almost completely eliminated.
Perhaps some could complain about the breakfast because options are very limited, however it was good enough for me and everything was warm and fresh, as it prepared only after your order.
At the price £40 per night (breakfast included) it was better than good deal – I will definitely stay there again.

Good value in a reasonable area
We checked in at 3am and the receptionist was most helpful and speedy. We were off to to our room which accommodated two bedrooms with a hall area and a bathroom with wc.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and nice and warm. There was a tv in both rooms and plenty of space.
We found a bar that was open about 200 metres away which got us a few pints at 3am! It was out of the hotel, left and about 100m. There was a gentlemans club next door, but sadly, it was closed when we came out of the bar!
Breakfast was a limited affair but it was acceptable. The staff were keen and whipped away plates once finished even if we were considering a bit more!
The area seeemed safe and ok. There didn't appear to be much there but I think if you are happy to get taxis into town which is usual in Kiev as its so big to get around, it's fine!
I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

Excellent value for money
Breakfast is offered in a small cafe on the ground floor and doesn't offer a buffet.
