Lovely little hotel in the old part of Istanbul. The owner is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and nice, with AC. We loved the Turkish breakfast with for example fresh fruit, salads and bread.
There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and little shops in the neighbourhood. A metro station is also near (10 minute walk). It’s a 20 minute walk (uphill) to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
The neighbourhood is old but don’t let the looks scare you. The people are friendly. We (ladies) walked back to the hotel in the night after going to the Istanbul Festival and we were perfectly safe. We will come back to this hotel and recommend it to others.

Very very Good

Highly recommend Ramparts! Adem, our host was amazing. He arranged transfers from and back to the airport in the early morning hours, stayed up to greet us on late check in, advised us on public tranport and more.
The hotel is within walking distance to the main tourist attractions like the Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque.
Our twin room had ample space, a kettle with tea, coffee & creamer, a bar fridge with complimentary bottles of water (yay!), chocolates and biscuits.
Everything was clean and neat and the beds comfortable.
Breakfast was very good with a large selection of cheese, fresh veg, fruit, breads, local dishes, delicious olives and plenty of tea and coffee.
The neighbourhood is in old city so expect old city vibes. The area was busy but it was nice to see and hear the kids playing outside in the street.
We had great food from the local vendors just near by and I believe there are some good seafood restaurant in the area too.
Be prepared to climb stairs/no lift facility.

Excellent

An altogether fantastic place to stay. Possibly the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in, great room, excellent location and very good breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice neat hotel with convenient location

The hotel has a good location: the main attractions can be reached on foot in half an hour. The hallway and the room were neat, the furniture looked new. The room had air conditioning, a fridge, a kettle and a TV. There was also bottled water, tea, instant coffee and chocolates. I'd like to point out in particular the crystal clearness of the sheets, and the whole room was very clean. There was fast and stable Wi-Fi. The reception was spoken in Russian and was always ready to help and prompt. Staying in the hotel is happy, I definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately.

Unfortunately, I was confronted with the arbitrary nature of the hotel. Refused to refund the money for the reservation (more than 60 thousand rubles), although he approached them 4 days before departure. Booked through Yandex travel. It was assured that the decision to cancel the reservation and refund is up to the hotel. Anyway, my money was embezzled without conscience. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Вы выбрали НЕ ВОЗВРАЩАЕМОЕ БРОНИРОВАНИЕ!!!
ЭТО ЗНАЧИТ, ЧТО СРЕДСТВА ВАМ НЕ ВЕРНУТ !
Между Вами и отелем есть посредники; это Яндекс-Путешествия, Экспедия и только потом Отель!
Вы при бронирование номера читали же соглашение, верно?
Этот номер который вы забронировали остаётся НЕ ПРОДАВАЕМЫМ НА ПРОТЯЖЕНИИ ВСЕГО ВАШЕГО БРОНИРОВАНИЯ.
Невозвратный тариф на отели это Для путешественников способ сэкономить, если они уверены в датах поездки.
P.S.
Если вы не уверены в поездки надо было выбрать стандартное бронирование.
