Intimate, cozy, and in an excellent location.
We stayed 6 nights at the Hypnos Design Hotel, and the experience was truly very positive.
Being a small hotel with only 11 rooms, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing: during the first few days, it felt almost like we were alone, with great silence both in the room and in the common areas.
The staff was always extremely kind, helpful, and discreet, never intrusive. Another great strength is the Turkish breakfast served at the table: abundant, varied, and truly delicious.
The location is excellent, perfect for visiting the main attractions of Istanbul on foot: The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, and Egyptian Bazaar can be reached in 7-10 minutes on foot, while the Grand Bazaar is about 15 minutes away.
We had an Executive room on the third floor, overlooking the street with a view of Hagia Sophia. The room was quite spacious, well-maintained, and tastefully decorated. One small aspect to consider: with the windows open, the street can be a bit noisy, but nothing particularly bothersome.
Highly recommended hotel for those seeking an elegant, central, and quiet accommodation in the historic heart of Istanbul.

Charming and romantic hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet
This small hotel is a gem, its location is great and strategic, within easy reach of everything Sultanahmet offers on the one hand and the magnificent Bazaars on the other.
The tramway is two minutes away and in a few stops leads to the shores of the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn.
Our room, 33 Poem, romantic clean and cozy. A little nest.
All the staff, from the manager Osman Topuz and all the staff to the reception to the staff in the hall, are welcoming, kind and helpful. We felt helped and welcomed in our every little need: thank you!
Beautiful experience of Turkish breakfast with a wide selection of sweet and savory that varied every day.
We had a really good time, we will recommend it in turn to hope to be back soon!

Wonderful service in special area of Istanbul
What a wonderful small hotel in the middle of the old city of Istanbul. The staff was amazing and helping us out with tours and suggestions for places to go. The rooms were small but very comfortable. The “Turkish” breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Access is great, equipment is poorly maintained
It is in the heart of the old town, just a minute walk from the tram station and very convenient for sightseeing.
The staff are kind and breakfast is good as Istanbul.
On the other hand, the equipment is not well maintained.
Pressing the flush button on the toilet makes it difficult to put it back on.
Locking a room door from the inside requires skill.

We had 2 separate rooms on same floor for a family of 4. This hotel was fun and quirky with all its artistic additions and decor. Breakfast was plenty with lots of selection. Turkey is full of smoking and this hotel had a scent of it coming from the foyer or front door where the front staff of all the hotels would gather to smoke. That would be my only complaint of the location but it was everywhere so we got used to it I think. The room was warm for us and couldn’t figure out how to use the AC but we also did t ask and just cooled
Down by keeping the balcony door open. Balcony was enjoyable to sit out in and watch the hustle and bustle of the city and listen to the call to pray from the Aya Sofia. This hotel is perfect location to explore all the highlights of the Sultanahmet area.
