There was no pool in the hotel :/ but otherwise, everything was just as advertised. Very beautiful and historic place to stay. Near Galata tower, many dining options, really good Turkish breakfast.

Strange smell in the basement where our room was. It was very outdated but a good location nonetheless if you don’t mind a hill to walk up.

Scam to forget

Indecent, I do not find any other word suitable for this hotel that in addition to having a dilapidated dirty old structure poorly maintained also has a staff of bad manners there is one thing that works absolutely stay away published on booking with photos not real so scam beautiful and good

Pure horror

Hotel Review
After reading positive reviews we were very much looking forward to our stay. Upon arrival, however, we immediately noticed some unpleasant details. The bottle of water in the room was already open, which didn't exactly enhance the sense of hygiene.
On closer inspection the room turned out to be really far below our expectations. The bed was stained, and the pillow was covered with other people's hair, which was absolutely unacceptable. The bathroom was severely contaminated, with mold on the walls and an unpleasant smell that smelled like a blocked drain. The ceiling seemed to be about to fall down, which we also captured in photos.
We asked the next day to clean the room and showed the photos as evidence. However, the employee responded with a threat: he told us that we had been specially given a room with a nice view, which we had absolutely not asked for. Despite this remark, we still asked to clean the room.
When we returned in the evening, the room was barely cleaned. We had to sleep again in a room with mold, stains and hair on the bed. This resulted in two nights in which we could barely sleep.
Because we no longer dared to file a complaint, we finally decided to leave. When Booking.com asked us to leave a review, we were honest about our experience. What followed, however, was even worse: the same person who told us that we had received an upgrade now threatened us with an additional cost of 80 euros for that upgrade, which we had never asked for. This felt like pure blackmail.
Because of this experience we really suffered a trauma and our journey went completely different than we expected. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel and great location

Great location and warm welcome. The terrace was beautiful with great views and quality breakfast.The hotel location is a minute from the Galata tower and very close to the metro and tram stop.Thanks to the Galatower team...
