My 5-day Athena adventure
It was a perfect family hotel and very enjoyable. It definitely deserves the price; it's a very affordable hotel. The beds in the rooms were quite large, and the breakfast menu was good. The coffee selection was excellent. I would recommend it for families; sometimes they have live music events in the evenings, and it's enjoyable. Eren, the bartender by the pool, was very helpful and the cocktails were delicious. Thank you.

After the cramped hotels of Antalya, experience Mediterranean luxury with the comforts of home!
Having been tired of paying high prices and being stuck in standard hotel rooms in Antalya for years, Athena Premium was a breath of fresh air for us. Thanks to the hotel's spacious 2+1 and 3+1 suite concept, we had a vacation with my family that felt like home in a huge space. Also, unlike many places in Antalya where the sea suddenly deepens and becomes rocky, the beach here is entirely covered in fine sand and is shallow. It was much safer and more enjoyable for both the children and us. Those seeking a more luxurious and peaceful Mediterranean holiday, far from the artificial crowds and hustle and bustle of Antalya, should not hesitate. It's definitely worth every penny you pay. Also, although the bartenders' service was excellent, I was particularly pleased with the service from Kaan and Eren.

It was a dirty hotel, one of the staff members was irritable, but the animators were very good.
The hotel was dirty, the pool was dirty, we got stuck in the elevator. The staff, except for those in the parking lot, were very nice and friendly.

Wonderful
The hotel was truly magnificent. The rooms, the staff's attentiveness and helpfulness, the food; everything was excellent. The Rafya Band, who perform live music in the evenings, also gave us very enjoyable moments with their wonderful performances. We would also like to thank Mr. Berkay for his interest and hospitality.
Athena Hotel will be our only choice for all our future holidays. We wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

Catastrophic not recommended!
We expected much more from Athena Premium Hotel in Mersin due to the many positive reviews – but unfortunately were disappointed across the board.
The rooms were not clean on arrival. Even after a room change, the cleanliness was still poor. The shower is hardly usable – either very little water comes or it is either freezing or extremely hot. Our child could hardly bathe. The children's pool was not filled, so we had to go to the deep adult pool with our child – absolutely unsuitable and dangerous for small children.
The hotel apparently consists of two completely different buildings – one of which looks more like an Airbnb. Unfortunately, the separation is evident not only in the equipment, but also at breakfast: Guests from the annexe are not allowed to have breakfast in the main building – although breakfast was booked in. In the main building, breakfast is much more varied and high-quality. This kind of separation of guests is completely incomprehensible and unacceptable. I've never seen anything like this in a hotel. And it was not mentioned anywhere when booking.
We had deliberately booked with breakfast because we wanted to explore Mersin during the day – this disappointment has put a lot of strain on the stay. It is also not possible to choose in which area you want to have breakfast.
In addition, there are other shortcomings: There are no cocktails, no iced coffee, no ice cubes – at 30
Degrees you only get slightly chilled drinks that warm up quickly. Supposedly there's only more choice on Saturdays. In addition, an EC payment is not possible on the grounds that: “We don’t have internet.”
We actually came to visit and review the hotel for our travel agency – but after this experience we can definitely not recommend this hotel. Such treatment of guests is not acceptable – and does not meet the promised standard or modern hotel standards.
