Totally loved it!
It's my first time to Kenting, and I debated with myself whether to book the room, because it is not very near to the main Kenting area. I decided to book anyways, because it had such good reviews and I think I will like the quietness. With such high expectation before my arrival, I would not be surprised if somethings disappoint, but it totally lived up to the expectations!
I booked one of the top floor rooms with a big balcony and a bath tub outside. The deco was beautiful, the facilities are great, the staff are helpful. I cannot think of much that I can say bad things about. It was in such a nice quiet spot and room that going back to the hotel and relax is one of our daily activities! Breakfast could be served at the room, which we ate on the balcony with slight breeze coming through during the morning. Nights were quiet with the sounds of the waves. The downside is that is not near the Kenting major area, but there are buses every 30 minutes. If not including the Sands beach opposite us, the major tourist spot is 5 mins car distance away at Cape Eluanbi. We are use to not having the most convenient transport, so it works out for us. There isn't much to eat or shop or do around the area, but I guess that's what makes it quiet.
I would totally recommend this hotel to those who like quiet, chilling stays.

Beautiful view and room
This hotel is located away from the Kenting Strip and in a quiet area with very little around so you will need a car or scooter to get around and explore the rest of the area.
The perfect place to stay for a romantic, relaxed getaway. We stayed in a large, beautifully decorated room with and bath tub looking out over the Pacific Ocean. Breakfast was included and delivered to our door at the time we requested so we could enjoy it on the private balcony.

Very unique place!
We stayed for three nights, and absolutely loved Sand Hostel. It's in a quiet part of town, which is perfect for escaping the weekend crowds, but close enough that you don't feel like you're missing out.
The owners were extremely helpful and arranged a motorbike for us the day we arrived, and a van to take us to the train station. (**on this note, if you have an international drivers license you should bring it. They will only rent you a motorbike with one, or you may end up with an electric scooter if you don't have one**).
The room was huge, and decorated beautifully. The whole building has such a creative design.
Also, the breakfasts are fantastic!

Awesome stayed! Creative design hostel with excellent service.
I seldom wrote feeds but Sands Hostel deserved one :) The hostel itself is very cleaned, new with unique design. It should rated as "5 stars hostel" and it is even more better than standard hotel in accord to my travel experiences. Definitely worth to stay at such price!! Owner & staff are very sincere and nice. We had a pleasant stayed for 2 nights. Every good breakfast they served for the day was different, you would totally feel they have hearts to run this business from the little decoration to the satisfactory of guests. The hotel location was facing the heavenly sea view and it's 10 mins driving from the crowd Kenting Main Street. You would snorkel which we had but aware to be away from the gov't protected beach area.

Comfortable and efficient with personal service provided by lovely couple.
Everything was as smooth and efficient as I could have possibly hoped for, from our our night arrival to our scooter rental to transport back to airport and everything in between. The hospitality was warm and a genuine display of what you tend to find all over this part of the country.
The place is located about 10 mins drive from Kenting center so it is best to have your own transport of some sort or make sure it can be arranged before hand.
