Exceptional Beach--everything we needed from a hotel
I created an itinerary for six women in our 40s with varying budgets. I really wanted to be close to be on this beautiful beach but the reviews had me a little scared. We paid for the garden view rooms and were steps away from the ocean. The ocean front rooms were more modern, but ours were lovely. The air conditioning worked well, they were clean, large, etc.
I'm wondering if we were upgraded or something because some of the reviews talk about having to cross a road to get to the beach and that road is the main road and would be crazy. But we were steps from the pool, beach, and restaurant.
The bar and restaurant does close early, around 7 or 8pm, but we were off at the Lamai night market or trying out bars and restaurants elsewhere. The food is pretty basic, and cheap, but after a week of high end dinners in Bankgkok and here, a chicken and fries can be a welcome lunch at the beach. It's walkable to an ATM, 7-11, and ice-cream shops. Easy to get a taxi. Staff was friendly.
We arrived early and were allowed to hang out at the bar/beach while they kept our bags.

Great place if you take the premium rooms
I frankly do not understand all these negative reviews, as a seasoned traveller.
With one non- negotiable caveat, go to one of 3 rooms in the new area as the other rooms indeed need some (important) renovation.
The place is one one of the most beautiful beaches in Samui. Yes it can get crowded as from 10-11am, but don't forget you have a private pool where, if you wake up "early" (say 8am), you'll have a guaranteed sunbed to enjoy your day with a magnificent view.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, and you get your drink / food order very quickly.
Highly recommend on the premium rooms.

Shameful,
Booking in this hotel, from 09 to 12 March, we decided to have a beautiful sea view for my girlfriend’s birthday. Booked 1 month and a half in advance, and taken of course already more than a month ago, 2 days before the stay at their home we are cancelled,
for the following reason: overbooking at the property la joke.
No alternative proposal proposed of course,
Except two days before prices tripled.
If you want to live dangerously and have your reservation cancelled two days before you go, without explanation, I advise you to book with them.
You will of course have no explanation from them.
It will only be a last minute cancellation

Silver Beach Resort is a stunning getaway that feels like a private paradise. The beachfront location is breathtaking, with a pool right by the ocean and a serene massage area overlooking the waves. The on-site restaurant offers delicious meals, complementing the tranquil ambiance. The staff is exceptionally helpful, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. Perfect for relaxation, the resort combines natural beauty, excellent amenities, and top-notch service. Highly recommended!

Terrible hotel, not for a normal person.
The staff and the reception manager are completely non-client oriented towards the hotel guests. The impression is that the eyes only have a calculator and a counting machine. Converted the grounds into a complete walkway and cafe, instead of grounds for their guests. No greenery! Everything has a bad look.
There are practically no sunbeds, and the ones that do are rented for a fee to outsiders!!!
Squatted on a chair by a table on the beach - demanding something to order, or being chased away. And this is despite the fact that the entire beach by the hotel is occupied by recumbent vacationers everywhere, but not hotel guests. In general, Cree tal scourge even in the off-season - like in Anapa... there's nowhere to go.
She lived alone in the room. Paid for 2 breakfasts. She asked for a light breakfast and pancakes. All they brought was pancakes. While I was waiting, the coffee was cold. I never got breakfast. Gone. Terrible service! The staff is only oriented towards finding new customers who would order something for them. The administrator only accepts money... for any request, pretends not to understand... or waves his arms, like, you can't.
Luckily, I ordered a room with a sea view. I sat on my balcony, 2nd floor. Dinner basically went to another restaurant, not this balagan.
The experience is the most unpleasant.
