Great Location , Great Experience
We loved our four night stay at the Palmyra. We found the rooms to be super clean and the fabulous staff very helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the shower water pressure quite good and it was quiet at night. The location could not be beat. Breakfast was an “exceeds expectations’ every day. This was our favorite breakfast during our trip. It was just lovely to eat in the open covered area by the pool. The hearty dishes changed daily, and were better [freshness, ingredient quality and taste] than many of the meals we had out [especially the chicken with young ginger – yum]. The fruit – cantaloupe, watermelon and GREAT Sweet small pineapple – was wonderful. We also liked having hot milk available for our coffee. We really liked the egg station and the small quartered club sandwiches. Try everything.
It’s a 10 minute walk to the beach. We found the northern part of the beach to have less sea plants and more shade. Instead of paying for chairs daily, we purchased a large beach mat for 200BHT from a beach vender. Do not bother with water shoes as they are not needed here.
We had our laundry done at the little shop just north of the entrance ally for 50 BHT/Kilo for wash and dry [no iron]. So worth it. Pick up was 24 hours later. Same day pick up is available for 100 BHT/K. We also went to the massage pace on the south side of the entrance ally and liked it. Later, we found an entire street of massage places on the small street leading to the WOOVO Hotel [ North of the Palymra]. Both we tried were good, but our favorite was the Milanda towards the end of the street. The restaurant we liked best was the Ko Chet Thai Food, although some of the dishes were hit or miss. The Papaya salad, chicken with cashews and yellow curry chicken were excellent.
We hope to return to the Palmyra in the future.

Great Location,but Noisy Rooms.
Palmyra Patong Resort great location,rooms clean,staff excellent,Beds and pillows a little hard.Rooms are not sound proof and can be noisy at night.We had a pool room which was great ,except the neighbours would use our balcony to get to the other side where there friends were staying.There is no swim up Bar as advertised.

Good 3 star standard
Resort is a bit old and I would award 3 stars for what is on offer. Not all rooms equipped with separate shower and there were also no connecting rooms during our stay. Pool, breakfast and location are good, staff helpful. Price-wise, it was a bit too high for what was on offer in my opinion. Overall, however, we were satisfied with the stay. We had Deluxe rooms with pool view.

Nice clean & pleasant hotel with bar & pool
A very nice clean hotel with lovely staff , they first gave us a superior room , didn’t like it at all , not a pleasant outlook from the very small horrible balcony… found it very depressing! But I have to say bed was great & room was clean. Anyway we moved to a deluxe overlooking swimming pool, and we found that much better, a table on the balcony would have made it better. Shower & bath great with plenty of hot water. We ate in restaurant and food was lovely as was breakfast.
In walking distance of bars & shops / markets. Sea about a 20 minute walk or tut tut for 200 bahts for 2 people.
