1 star at best,just awful
Arrived late, to be checked in by 2 young children, couldn't speak a word of english, very unprofessional.
If you have mobility problems do not stay here, no lifts, we had to lift all our lugguage up 2 steep flights of stairs.
We booked a pool access room, theres only 3,these are supposedly the top range rooms.
On entering the room, mosquitos were flying around, loads of them on the walls, floors etc, rooms hadn't been sprayed, and no plug ins to keep them at bay.
Old, tired, and very unclean. Stains everywhere.
Bed was the hardest most uncomfortable weve ever laid on, just awful, and that was with a mattress topper on.
Bathroom was old, and worm, window flithy, dead and living mosquitos everywhere.
Breakfast was poor, leftovers which were always cold from the night before, we lived on the eggs and toast.
We asked for a plug in mosquitos repellent next morning and they brought one up, didn't help much.
Service of the rooms was very sporadic and some days not done until 4pm, had to ask on a few occasions for it to be done.
Dont think the bathroom was touched while we were there, sheets were changed 3 times.
Staff seem friendly enough, think thev just got lazy and given up.
We would have checked out the next day, but couldn't afford to do so.
Please choose wisely, spend a bit extra and go somewhere decent.

Impression
Around the hotel, the view from the balcony was cinematic; it was nice to end the evening with a bottle of beer or a cup of tea there. The insects were absent. The rooms are well maintained and cleaned every day.
If you need a hotel that acts as an “island of safety” for you in case something happens, but you don’t often sit in it, this is an ideal option. And it’s nice to lie around, and the price is affordable. The pool is also great. It is open until the evening, but if you promise not to make noise, you can swim at one in the morning.
The downside is that the hotel is located 33 meters above sea level. At least that's what the phone said.
At the beginning of the vacation, these ascents and descents were rather amusing, but in the end you begin to get tired and plan your exit from the room more consciously in order to avoid unnecessary returns to the rooms. If you are young, like to walk and are confident in your knees, then this will be more of a plus for you. For others, I would advise bothering with renting a bike.
However, this does not spoil the overall impression of the hotel at all. Within walking distance are 7/11, a wholesale grocery store, a market and many cafes for locals where you can eat very cheaply (go to a place where there will be a lot of tourists from China. It will most likely be filling, tasty and very cheap). There is also a laundress nearby, a convenient fork in the exit to two beaches (Kata, Karon), and in general it is very authentic.
