Hotel MONSTER: Avoid it and if it's too late run away!

The hotel is awful. Avoid it at all costs. I recommend investing in accommodation when you visit Koh Phi Phi, here the quality is paid.
Despite the negative reviews, I thought... "It doesn't look so bad..."
Well, from my experience I can say, "...Negative reviews fall short."
This hotel is one of the worst I've come across and we've been traveling in Southeast Asia since January.
As soon as I arrived, when I saw the reception and even with the bag collection guy (look and lack of uniformity) I started to smell that the thing was not going to look good.
Old rooms, uncorked furniture, dirty walls, disgusting bathroom, pieces are broken, to the shower in flip-flops... Dirty old plugs, gross wall sconce with maximum dirt and rust. Dirty old curtains, shabby floors and even broken tiles, window openings and doors that don't fit...
The pool with dirty old sunbeds. But come on, I haven't dared to go...
We're staying tonight for the first night but tomorrow we're leaving, we'll lose the money but I'm not gonna let the Monster Hotel ruin our days and stay in Koh Phi Phi.

I strongly advise against

After more than 10 years of stay in Thailand I think I have an honest view on the quality / price ratio of the hotels. And I have to say that this time I made a mistake in my choice. We booked 5 rooms for 4 nights. After one night we are two couples to see changed hotel at our expense since no refund possible.
To summarize: as other reviews say, 3 out of 5 rooms had an unbearable smell. The clothes were getting wet...
The welcome is very average. Not unpleasant either but bof.
Breakfast is not good. We quickly gave up.
The pool! Like the room, cloudy and dubious water. Strange smell.
Tiles are missing everywhere and very little shade.
Right on the site there is a part under construction that makes everything very ugly.
The building consists of a large corridor that resonates loudly and the cleaning starts at 7:30 in the morning with the noise that goes with it.
In short all this to say that at 110€ a night we expected better.
Very very disappointed and I strongly advise against going.

Good hotel, quiet decent room.

Good hotel, nice location.
But qq details to review:
No hair dryer, no beach towel. The breakfast very simplistic, and not really qualitative. Swimming pool facing the sea. 15min walk from the terminal. It brings the suitcases directly from the port to the room and from the room to the boat, that is rather nice

U Rip needs some up keeping around the property and especially the pool. It’s nice and quiet where this hotel is located and away from the crazy nightlife but within walking distance so you can go and check it out but come back to quietness. They didn’t have any beach loungers which would have been nice. The all inclusive breakfast is very limited.

For the price the room is not bad, the location is a little far from the night market. Our rooms was in mountains a bit, if you are young in not difficult to live there. But was a lot of mosquitoes in the night cause was mountainous area, but the problems wasn’t the mosquitoes but drunk Russians couples who was till the morning fighting.
