Perfect Stay

My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights at Aonong Lodge and would rebook in a heartbeat. We were touched by Pattama and Laurence who went above and beyond during our stay, organising tours with fanatic local guides, doing our washing and even cutting us fresh aloe vera to treat our sunburn!
The location is perfect, with the lodge set in a quiet corner away from the hustle bustle of Aonang but still in very close proximity to the main drag. There is a 7/11 5 mins away and a couple of great restaurants nearby (we loved Enjoy Restaurant).
There are only 7 or so apartments in the complex, so we often had the beautiful pool to ourselves which was a dream.
Our room was clean and modern with everything we needed and more. We were also grateful for the air conditioning upstairs and the fans downstairs.

Loved it

Beautifulll setting, mountain view , the rooms are just like little houses and you feel like home, only maybe with a better view :)
It's a walk to the beach but i recommend renting a scooter with Pattama, you can also easily grab a tuktuk to bring you anywhere you want.
At night we sat with other guests just discussing our adventures and listening to Pattama and Laurence's stories and experiences in Thailand.
Thank you Pattama and Laurence for this great experience, you were both so kind and helpful. We look forward of staying with you again in the future.
PS: Please try Pat's cooking, anything , everything she makes is Magic ;)

Exceptional

➕ Pretty much everything! From the location (a bit off the main street so it was quiet) to the building (two storey loft with air-conditioned bedroom upstairs) to the pool, views, host, breakfast, support for tours, bike rental and I could go on forever.
If you are going to rent a bike - which you should anyways - or don’t mind walking 20mins to the beach that’s the perfect place to stay in Ao Nang Beach. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful with every need you might have. Pat is even cooking breakfast (pls try the pancakes ) every morning.
All in all we had a wonderful 4 nights stay and will definitely recommend this place to everyone we know, and for sure come back next time!

Suffocating

We booked this place after reading so many positive reviews and great pics, stayed 4 nights and I must say it wasn't really great experience. It was very clean, owners are very nice, informative and love chatting, general overview as safe and nice place. However, I was really badly surprised with a fact that air conditioning is available ONLY in upstairs bedroom and one, not really functional ventilator in the rest of suite. It was suffocating inside, we spent most time outside but there you have small table, two uncomfortable chairs and zero privacy. There was no internet connection in bedroom at all. Limited breakfast menu, didn't really like it. I would never book it again.

Lovely hotel

We had a great 3-night experience at AoNang Lodge, the place is very modern and well-maintained, very few rooms (but big!) which makes it calm and tidy.
The owners are full of tips and lovely. Be prepared to take a tuk-tuk or walk 25 min to get to the shore, though that is also why the place is so calm.
Would definitely recommend!
