A real favorite

Ideal place for a typical Thai immersion, it feels like home. Kindness, calm and serenity are the keywords of this family boarding house perfect for families.(cooking lessons, muay Thai, massage pool) the rooms are spacious and comfortable
We dine there like in a restaurant! The varied and gourmet breakfast feasted everyone.

Comfortable but far from downtown

There is a lot that is great about this place. The rooms are very comfortable and big, the staff is very nice, the breakfast is good, and the surroundings are beautiful. Also the price can't be beat. The biggest downsides for us were the distance to the downtown (25 min in a taxi each way) so that made it hard to do easy outings. Also, there is nothing really in walking distance from this place, so you are kinda trapped there if you do not take a taxi. The pool was nice (but very cold) so we couldn't really enjoy it. I would say this is a good place if you are looking for an affordable place to say and if you don't plan on being in the downtown area most of the time.

An oasis of tranquility away from the noise and busy environment of Chiang Mai. So many decorative native features. Wonderful breakfast with choices of fruits, breads and eggs cooked to order. Wonderful and kind staff, great service. Spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. A real “home” feel

Peaceful Accommodation Chiang Mai

We really enjoyed our stay at Joy’s House. We were fortunate enough to visit in the low season and had this wonderful place to ourselves. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. So peaceful and relaxing but not too far from old town. We had the family bungalow and it was perfect. It’s like staying at your sweet Thai grandmas home.the breakfast was delicious as were the dinners we had here.

Highly recommend. Nice friendly staff.

Great place to stay with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel also offers a lot of programmes and activities in Chiang Mai. Superb place to stay in a quiet place in Chiang Mai. Breakfast was fantastic. Suitable for big groups or families too.
