Comfortable, friendly and great location
The rooms were large & comfortable, everything worked and the location was excellent.
Ning and her family were wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed the extra space from our own living room.

Pet Friendly.
The resident dogs are fewer now than when the previous reviewer stayed. There is a smell in reception but it smelled more like Dettol than dog to me and the smell didn't enter our room which was next to reception. The Wifi connection was erratic at times and we didn't have a chance to try the breakfast but the coffee was good.
All in all this place was absolutely ideal for our needs, our cats were safe in our room for the two weeks we were there and we were able to plan our trip in comfort.

Don't do it!!!
After that, it's a rapid downhill spiral. Enough so, not sure where to begin ....
- you have to like dogs because the entire reception sitting area is for the resident dogs (4 chihuahuas, 2 Welsh corgis, and 1 Pomeranian). Dogs are ok, I like dogs and these are friendly, but the very present smell and the late night barking came as an unpleasant surprise.
- you shouldn't be distressed by the very sad and lonely macaque in the small cage sitting outside the hotel's entry;
. . . If you're still at the reception intending to check - because you lacked the good sense to turn and find a better place to sleep . . . don't bank that your reservation will be what you thought you'd made.
Detail: we were seeking a room for 3 people. The website posted a price for a room for three.
- we reserved a room based on the information on their web-site, followed by a phone conversation to confirm prices & room availability. So, I asked that person to hold a room, and he did.
We arrived and were greeted by the animal life, then the reception person appeared. After about 30-45 minutes of negotiating, re-negotiating, arguing the price -?- with 4 different people we stayed one night. We stayed one night so that we could drop our bags, know we had a place to sleep, while we hit the street to look for a different place to stay.
Note to detail: the third bed was carried in (in response to heavy negotiations), and it was a rubber-coated gym mat on a metal cot. The mat proved better on the floor than on the cot.
The levels of distress were multi-faceted - confined primate, dog house, fluctuating prices.
I think the confined macaque was the first and last of a series of frustrating events.
