Top seminar hotel with a dreamlike backdrop
I have already been to the Campus Hotel Hertenstein twice on business for multi-day seminars – and was completely thrilled both times.
The hotel is furnished in a modern and elegant style throughout, from the rooms to the public areas. The seminar rooms are bright, equipped with modern technology, and offer a direct view of Lake Lucerne – the view is simply spectacular.
The house is also impressive in terms of its culinary offerings: The dinner was excellent each time, and at lunch, there was a varied buffet of very good quality several times. Breakfast also leaves nothing to be desired.
Another plus point is the unique location directly on the lake on the Hertenstein peninsula – with private lake access, a sauna with a lake view, and a boat dock practically right at the doorstep.
The staff was always friendly, attentive, and professional. I can unreservedly recommend the Campus Hotel Hertenstein for seminars and corporate events; I would love to come back.

Exceptional hotel with first class staff.
We arrived on Sunday afternoon and were immediately made feel very welcome. Check in was professional and efficient which was good as we were travelling with a 4 month old baby who was ready to be fed.
Our rooms are excellent, well appointed with stunning views over the Lake.
Breakfast has been first class and as I’m vegan I wasn’t overly optimistic but the chefs have been exceptional and produced a very tasty hot breakfast every day. We have had food from the restaurant and it has all been really first class.
This hotel is beside the ferry terminal for the many boats going up and down the lake hourly.
I could not recommend this hotel strongly enough. If you’re travelling on your own book room 509 as the terrace is amazing.
All staff are so friendly and helpful and cannot do enough for us.

Kid friendly/ gluten free meal/
We had a truly wonderful stay at Campus Hotel Hertenstein. It is such a beautiful and kid-friendly hotel, with an incredible location directly on the lake. Our children loved being able to enjoy the water, paddleboarding and kayaking, and the whole setting is so peaceful and relaxing.
The rooms are very spacious, the views are absolutely breathtaking, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm and welcoming.
What made our stay especially memorable, however, was the incredible food and service. I have celiac disease and must follow a strict gluten-free diet, and Chef Christian went above and beyond for me. He prepared some of the best gluten-free meals I have eaten in my entire life. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I was so impressed by the care and attention he gave to my dietary needs. Traveling with celiac disease can sometimes be difficult, so this meant so much to me.
I also want to give special recognition to Luca and Enre . They were kind, patient with the kids,attentive, professional and made us feel very welcome.
The hotel is awesome on its own, but the people working here( ladies on the front desk also were very friendly, polite, extremely kind and very respectful)are what truly made our experience exceptional. We are leaving with wonderful memories and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended, especially for families and anyone who needs gluten-free dining!

HOTEL CLOSED 3RD TO 23RD FEBRUARY 2026!!
We were due to stay here 15th to 20th Feb but i found out purely by chance because i asked about the restaurant that the entire hotel is closed during the above dates! I booked it back in October and had no communication since to say there was any issue, there was no apology or accountability by the hotel, they hadnt told our travel agent or anyone that they are closed. We would have got there on 15th and been stranded with nowhere to stay with an 8 year old too! Theres nothing on their website to say its closed either so beware, ts awful and unbelievable that they havent told anyone, so im trying to warn people to check if you are due to stay here so you dont arrive to a closed hotel!
