Shortage of round the clock staff as usual in smaller properties in Europe. Room did not have water kettle when we checked in, after 40mins of our reaching the doors . But an old lady arrived at 8 am and provided supplies.
The surroundings are beautiful. Close the lake front, numerous pubs and restaurants. But they all close very early and open very late.

Didn't feel so comfortable.

Room and decor were ok. It was not super clean cleaned on arrival. What bothered me the most, however, was that the cleaning service just came into the room early in the morning, even though I was just in the bathroom myself. I found that quite unpleasant and didn't understand why. Why come clean at 7 a.m. when you know most of the visitors are still in the room. I felt very distressed. The whole thing happened three or four times that the staff just barged into the room. And for the "rest" like in a hostel, you pay 80€ per night.
Otherwise, the location was really great. Very central.

Lovely stay in Überlingen - a great base to explore. The rooms are a great size and have all the amenities you might require. The bathroom is dated but functional and the shower was great.
There's no AC so we kept the windows open. The hotel is very close to St. Nikolaus Münster - the church bells start ringing from 6am (including every quarter hour) so beware if you're a light sleeper!
There is rarely someone on reception but you can phone to speak to someone.
There is no car park but there are some recommended car parks on the hotel website. The website says you can obtain a discount card from the hotel - please note you need to collect this from the hotel BEFORE you enter the car park. Unfortunately we weren't informed of this beforehand so we were not able to use the discount.
The only other thing to be mindful of is the fact that the hotel is listed as Hotel Le Fleur on Google Maps, but Hotel La Fleur everywhere else.

Mediocre

Hotel booked 3 weeks ago ...online check in was great...the confirmation has come first without attachment for info to check in !
I had called the day before and asked for a call back about this! Nobody called back. When checking in I had to call and search with the woman on the phone through the key boxes since the number was not on the box ...may happen . No wifi password in room , two glasses no drink (water).
Otherwise very nice quiet , mattress was good .
