Perfect hotel!

Perfect lodge! I was not there to ski or snowboard but instead there to just enjoy the snow, nature, and scenery. The hotel is very new, clean, and the customer service was amazing. The free drinking water station on each floor with glasses and pitchers to bring water to your room was so nice. The location is also wonderful. It is located right next to the funicular exit. Also right next to a store and ski slopes. 10/10 recommend and I can’t wait to be back.

Lovely spring overnight in Stoos

Lovely, beautiful stay in Stoos. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Easy to get to from the funicular and train/bus. Water bowl provided for dog booking. A special treat to stay within the village and take a slower hike and evening.

Modern, refined, and exceptionally well designed, Stoos Lodge is a gem.
If you’re coming to Stoos, chances are you’re here to hike the famous ridge trail. Keep in mind that completing the route in a single day requires five chairlift rides, making Stoos Lodge the perfect place to recharge before or after your hike.
One of the best parts of staying here is that Stoos transforms in the evening. Most of the day visitors leave by around 5:00 PM, and the village becomes peaceful and relaxing.
The facilities, rooms (yes, they have air conditioning), restaurant, and Blue Bar were all excellent. If it’s available, I highly recommend Room 510. It features an in-room sauna, multiple windows with great natural light, and one of the best room layouts I’ve stayed in.
One final tip: take the chairlift back up the mountain for sunset. The views are spectacular, and it’s absolutely worth the trip.

Great hotel in beautiful location

This is a beautiful hotel in a very special part of Switzerland. Our room was a superior double room and it was huge! Soundproofing was excellent so no noise at all (though I loved hearing those cow bells). The views were spectacular.
Breakfast was very good in the spacious restaurant. You can sit in the bar and have more wonderful views. And the restaurant had good food (though super expensive like all of Switzerland).
Did the full Stoos Ridge hike (see separate review) despite them advertising that a section was closed due to maintenance work.
Only negatives - no basics like a kettle and tea/coffee. Also pillows too flat and sheets and towels are scratchy. That said, I recommend staying here.

Avoid the restaurant

Would not recommend eating at this restaurant. We waited over 30 minutes just to get a beer and an Aperol Spritz, then another hour for our food to arrive. The whole setup was completely overwhelmed — barely any staff working despite the restaurant being packed and run more like a busy canteen than a proper restaurant.
What makes it worse is they charge expensive restaurant prices while delivering a really poor dining experience. Long waits, disorganized service, and not worth the money.
