Good accommodation for the weekend

Friendly welcome and cleanliness of rooms is good. For skiing and for 1-2 nights perfect. The breakfast buffet is good. Somewhat incomprehensible that breakfast is not possible in the ski season and in spring from 0700, the cable cars run from 08.00. there is indeed a self-service early breakfast room. But this room shines with a defective coffee machine and almost no selection. It is worth waiting for the official buffet to open. Unfortunately, the hotel is not quite up to date. In the dining room, the ceiling has visible stains and an orphaned sun terrace testifies to the former glory.

There were building works going on in the hotel. At 8.15am on 2 of the mornings they started using power drills in the room next to mine. I was woken up both days and the power tools continued the whole day. It was incredibly loud and impossible to sleep, think or work.

La Chamois is nestled in a truly stunning setting—mountains on all sides, towering pines, and that crisp alpine air that makes everything feel a bit more magical. The location alone is worth the stay, with trails and vistas just steps away. The hotel itself is charming and well-situated, though the walls are a bit thin, so light sleepers may want to pack earplugs. Still, it’s hard to complain when you wake up to views like that. Conveniently located close to the train station. Super friendly staff.

Bedbugs in the bedroom!

I strongly recommend this hotel. From our first night, my friend and I were stung all night, with unbearable itching. The next morning we discovered two living bed bugs on the cushions of our bed. I have taken clear pictures that prove their presence and I will publish them.
This is unacceptable for a hotel. It is a matter of hygiene and public health! The official was not even shocked by the situation. He went upstairs, saw the bugs himself, but showed no empathy. He reimbursed us for the room, but that’s not enough given the consequences: we had to throw away valuable personal effects for fear of bringing an infestation home.
Honestly, it’s a traumatic experience, and I don’t wish that on anyone. Hotel to avoid absolutely until a real treatment for bedbugs has been done. To escape.
