Casa Almis apartment
Just spent a fab week at Casa Almis 1 apartment. The apartment is just as the photos show it to be. It's clean, well equipped and has amazing views from the living room and balcony.
The apartment is one of 4 in a traditional Swiss chalet located down a private road which in turn runs off the car park for the First cable car just off the High Street. There is a car parking space for the apartment right outside the door.
As you enter the apartment there is a spacious hall with handy cupboard, shoe rack, stand with walking poles and umbrella and plenty of coat hooks.
To the right is the bathroom tiled in traditional green tiling with a shower over the bath. There were plenty of toilet rolls, tissues, hand wash, towels and flannels mirrors and cupboard space.
Straight ahead off the hall is the bedroom with twin beds, plenty of wardrobe space and access to the balcony.
The living area consists of kitchen area, dining area, living room area and an area with a single bed (with another bed underneath). There is Also access to the balcony from this room.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, cups, glasses, oven, fridge, dishwasher (no microwave or washing machine). There were also plenty utensils, scissors, herbs and spices, coffee, tea, sugar, milk sachets and a large cupboard with a vacuum and small ironing board.
The dining area had a good size table, plenty of seating and lighting. The living room area had a settee and two chairs with a coffee table. There was a modern flat screen tv with DVD player as well as a music system. The room has a huge picture window facing the mountains with what I can only describe as staggering views across from the Pfinstegg upper cable car station to the Mannlichen ridge, taking in the North Face of the Eiger and Kleine Scheidegg. Access out to the balcony area with ample seating and the same jaw dropping views.
The third and fourth beds are situated on the back wall of the living area meaning the apartment can accommodate 4 persons.
Complete and utter silence round off this apartment nicely.
Grindelwald is a beautiful village with tons of amenities and this apartment is almost opposite the First cable car station and about 7 mins pleasant walk to Grindelwald train station. Pfinstegg cable car station is only about 5 mins walk and the high street is 2 mins away.
Not only would I stay at this apartment again, I would live there given the chance. It is 10 out of 10 in every respect. Simply stunning !

Haunted House. Do not stay!!!
My collagues stayed in this property in the month of October 2018.
Their overall experience was really disappointing and scary.
03 out of the 04 guests had a scary experience.
Guest 01 was awaken at around 03/03:15 am on the first night when he heard someone knocking the door.
On the second night they saw some dark figure moving around outside the window at around 02:30 am. After and hour or so they again heard someone knocking on the door.
Guest 02 He also experienced someone coming to him and pressing his shoulders.
Guest 03 experienced it on the day of departure. He also felt that someone pressed his shoulders and slapped him.
Guest 04 had fortunately no such experience.
Guest 01 did not share his experience with him earlier thinking that it might be just an hallucination. But only did so when the other 02 guests experienced it as well.
Please let me know if others have experienced such things as well in the past.
I request you to please look into it so that next time no one else faces such dangerous situations. Luckily they were 04 of them and had safety in numbers.
