Hot visit to a cool hotel
Great location, a quick bus ride from the airport, close to a cruise terminal, and easy walk to much of Basel. Very hot day in Basel so good AC at Hotel D was Appreciated. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff w as friendly and helpful.

Always a pleasure at Hotel D - my favorite hotel in Basel
Wonderful city hotel - we are often in Basel and prefer to stay at Hotel D. It is super located, has cozy and clean rooms, as well as very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

This is amazing place to stay in Basel
We can’t say enough great things about this hotel. The location is perfect to explore the beautiful streets, amazing restaurants walking distance, the Rhine river right across the street! The staff, I couldn’t get everyone’s names but the first day we arrived Cristian was at the front desk he welcomed us like we were family, we arrived at 7am he took our bags to store then we toured the area came back later our bags were in our rooms waiting for us!! Everyone one of the staff members we met were fantastic. Great service, every time we exit or enter the hotel they offered to help us with any thing we may need. Breakfast and the breakfast staff were great also very helpful and the coffee and food were a perfect way to start our days! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Hotel D: the perfect hotel in Basel
We just arrived today and appreciate very much the D hotel, very well ubicated in the center of Basel, in Schifflände; in the entrance, we found a huge and beautiful lobby with comfortable armchairs; the Reception staff, a Lady and a Gentleman, are nice and efficient. The room (for us: N. 602) is provided with all modern amenities, among which an Espresso machine ! There is also a modern bathroom with a fantastic rain shower ! Very good hygiene products, large towels...And a balcony as a plus ! We shall surely come back each time we come to Basel !!

Everything was wonderful in the hotel aside from the noise emanating from the AC (we noticed it only at night when we went to bed). It wasn't very loud, but it did bother us to sleep, and the problem hadn't been fixed by the time we left. We stayed there altogether for 3 nights. Might I just add that there were hardly any good hotels in the area that provided AC in the rooms during the heat wave that Switzerland had suffered, so just for that they deserve 2 thumbs up. 👍👍
