Nice place to stay in downtown Basel

The Basel Apartments is a very modern and nice apartment hotel - I will definitely use it again. Large and airy rooms, with desk for work and a small kitchen fully equipped with refrigerator and coffee maker. The apartment hotel is located a block away from the hotel that serves as reception and breakfast restaurant.
Positive - extremely friendly staff. Very good quality. Parking in one of two garages a block away. Efficient and works great. Appartments are just above one of the biggest supermarkets in Basel.
You got to consider - it is Basel, so parking on the street is pretty bad. Parking outside the hotel is challenging, so the logistics of getting luggage to the room from where you pick up the key requires a bit of logistics, but as mentioned, the staff is incredibly friendly and nice.
You might not want to use this hotel for a single night, coming in late and leaving next morning, but for a few days, the location is great and the issues with the logistics is not a big deal.

Very very BAD EVERY Thing was dirty!!!! And also for this facts he took toooo much money from us and was not friendly this K.L is far away from reality!! I really wants neeeever travek again in this way ti Switzerkand!

Cancelled my reservation

They just cancelled my reservation. Now I will have to find a place to stay while I work at Basel.
Prices just went up that week in the city, raising up and up with the time.
I would like to speak well about it, but I need to sleep these days to go to work.

Bugs and insects

It's was a nice apartment but I have to tell people about the bug situation. When I returned to my room there was about 100 different bugs, flies n insects in bedroom, on the wall in my bed sheets. I told the owner and she didn't seem to care. This spoiled an otherwise average apartment.

Wenn das Licht abends angestellt ist und gleichzeitig die Fenster offen sind, dann kommen am Fluss Rhein natürlich viele Insekten zur Wohnung rein. Also beim nächsten Mal einfach darauf achten, dass man entweder die Fenster geschlossen hält oder aber nur bei ausgestelltem Licht die Fenster öffnet. Das ist ja grundsätzlich überall so auf der Welt, vor allem aber in der Nähe von Gewässern.

Great budget accommodation in central location

We booked this very last minute (only about 6 hours beforehand) and were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation as we were expecting a small basic studio apartment. It turned out to be light and spacious, with a large living room with three beds, TV, comfortable sofa, tables and plenty of storage space. On top of that there was a separate reasonably well equipped kitchen and a bathroom, as well as a large hallway. The bathroom was a bit dated but the whole apartment was spotlessly clean. The owner contacted us by phone as soon as we had made the online booking, to make arrangements for meeting us on arrival. We arranged to pay an extra 15 CHF for a secure parking space, which was only two minutes walk away and very convenient, but a very tight squeeze for our car which we unfortunately damaged slightly on our way out! The location couldn't have been better, in an interesting residential area of Basel, only about 50m from the Rhine which had a very lively atmosphere with all the swimmers and others enjoying the warm summer evening - plenty of places to eat and drink along the banks of the river and in the surrounding streets. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and gave us cards which entitled us to free use of public transport in Basel - an added bonus to a surprisingly pleasant and affordable overnight visit.
