Hotel Tobler in Ascona is a nugget!

We spent a few days with family at the Tobler Hotel in Ascona. Our experience was simply excellent, with a really nice Welcoming from all the staff throughout the stay. The staff was smiling, available and attentive, absolutely perfect! The setting of the hotel is beautiful and its location, on top of a hill overlooking the town of Ascona and Lake Maggiore, is ideal. The pool is perfect: heated, it is accessible to everyone, even the most chilly. The rooms are very nice, very clean and well equipped. The breakfast is impeccable and a daytime poolside Dining Service is offered for those who prefer to stay and cool off rather than visit the area. No offense, we'll be back.

A hotel without life.

The greeting and farewell were rather reserved and cool. The hotel seems sterile and lifeless.
The room was clean, very spacious, had two restrooms and two showers, and sufficient storage space. The balcony was dirty and was not used.
The breakfast was okay but has room for improvement for a 4-star hotel.
The restaurant looks like it has remained in the 90s. Life and the Ticino flair are also missing here.
The restaurant is open until 6:30 PM and was therefore not an option for our dinner, which we had to take elsewhere.
The pool area was clean and well-maintained and had enough shaded areas.
The free parking was a positive aspect.
All in all, the price-performance ratio did not meet our expectations.

Small and fine but everything available. TOP!

Great location, nice view, very friendly staff, cozy spots in and around the hotel. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms. Nice that it has an outdoor and indoor pool, with shuttle service-small but everything available! A great discovery.

Great holidays

Very friendly staff, great surroundings, with heated pool, great lawn, indoor pool and lots of cosy corners. Breakfast was very good. Had a great garden room with its own loungers and lawn. Plenty of parking spaces. Will definitely be back

Great, friendly hotel with a nice view

An exceptional friendly, family-run business. We stayed in the B&B Toblerina where you can also use the facilities of the hotel. Very nice views over Ascona and the lake. You can rent bikes and e-bikes for free and have a great day in nearby Valle Maggia or Locarno region...
