This central Vadstena B&B is located on the town’s main street, Storgatan. Lake Vättern and Vadstena Castle are both within 650 metres. It provides attractive rooms with a TV and private bathroom.

Simple gem in Vadstena
Very nice simple small hotel / hostel. Wonderful that everything was included in the price. We had the privilege to stay in Wahlberg's apartment, 2 bedrooms with living room & bathroom. The bedrooms were one double and one with 2 single beds. Everything well cleaned & breakfast very nicely arranged with everything you need including incredibly good bread. The only “downside” is that it is quite responsive as is often the case with old houses. The location inside central Vadstena with free parking around the corner was a good bonus.

Fine, but perhaps a bit too expensive for what you get
This place is advertised as 'hotel standard but at a reasonable price' but is basically somewhere between a hostel and B&B. Here's a summary:
Location: Perfect, right in the centre of town.
Room: On the small side, but clean and decorated in a cosy turn-of-the-century style, lots of character. Beds were comfy and had proper blinds to keep out the light, so we slept well, which is the most important thing for me. TV and DVD player. The en-suite bathroom is tiny (too small for 2 people to stand in at the same time) and looks a bit tatty. But the shower worked well.
NB: The room was not cleaned or tidied, or the towels changed, during our 2-night stay.
Breakfast: Controversial! This is not your typical B&B deal. There is unlimited cereal, crackerbread and boiled eggs, but bread, ham and cheese are rationed – you get a little tupperware box with your allocation inside. No fruit, jam, or cooked options. In practice it was enough, but it felt quite stingy – like staying with a mean old aunt who doesn't really want you there. You're also expected to wash up and tidy away after yourself.
Service: There is none, really. The set-up is designed so that you don't need to meet any staff – keys and instructions left in an envelope to be picked up, with a phone number to call if there are any problems.
All in all, this place is fine if you want a convenient, no-frills base from which to explore Vadstena on a budget. If you want a personal service, with the little extras that make you feel loved, you should probably look elsewhere. It was fine for us, but I think it's probably a bit overpriced for what you get – especially with the stingy breakfast.

The Secret is in the Name
This lodge provided us with everything we expected. Its situation is perfect for sightseeing situated on the traffic-free Main Street and within short walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit in the two days we were there. We were given precise instructions on its location, entry formalities, ways to pay by email well in advance. Our room, "Birgittas Rum" on the top floor was spotlessly clean, comfortable and en suite.
We found breakfast perfectly adequate, as did two Dutch Guests also staying there for the second time.
This "Night Lodge"is unpretentious and well suited to the environment in which it is situated. Highly recommended.

More like a room to rent
More like renting a room than staying at a B&B
The rooms them self are nice, and the location is fantastic, and if all you want is a room, then don’t read any further.
When you arrive you’re not greeted by a welcoming, B&B owner but rather, before you arrive you’re emailed a set of instructions that include combinations for the door, and instructions where to park.
When you check in, you’re given a welcome package. Here is where the surprise comes in.
Breakfast normally provided by a Bed & Breakfast here is self-serve, and instead of a warm and inviting fresh baked breads, your given a basket containing 4 small breads, and access to the refrigerator where your find butter, milk, yogurt, marmalade, and a few slices of sandwich cheese and ham.
Coffee or Tea; No problem just get up early and make it yourself.
Same goes for help in finding your way around town. In most cases you’ll never meet the owner, or other guest, because there is no common room or courtyard where afternoon tea is served. In fact there is no common room at all.

Mysigt B&B med bästa läget i centrala Vadstena.
Jättetrevligt Bed and Breakfast! Perfekt läge i centrala Vadstena. Lätt att hitta, trevlig personal och fint rum med sköna sängar. Rent och snyggt.
Enkel frukost i obemannat kök, men verkligen gott och trevligt. Nybakade frallor med pålägg, kokt ägg. Allt vi önskade fanns!
