This historic hotel is located in central Piteå, only 5 minutes’ walk from the bus station. It offers a restaurant and on-site gym. WiFi is free in all rooms. Piteå Stadshotell was built in 1906.

Stunning hotel with beautiful details
Stunning hotel from 1906 that still keeps cooked although some parts need renovation. Professional and friendly staff. It is a pity that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and not on Mondays which is most common in the restaurant industry. Totally fine room, but missed shelf to toilet drawer etc in the bathroom. A little hard bed.

Very hot room and no AC. Not very comfortable beds and pillows. Gym is very good for a hotel gym. The relax (jacuzzi) was closed at the time of my visit.

Worn and outdated
We just came from another 4-star hotel and had a hotel room there with private balcony, sauna, smart TV, bathrobe with slippers, refrigerator and coffee/tea in the room. Piteå Stadshotell also has 4 stars, but reminds of a worn hostel and it was about the same price here as at the other hotel we came from. The room we had was very worn and outdated, unsure of whether there was dust or mold on the bathroom valve. No coffee/tea in the room, just a kettle. Unable to cast/stream to TV. Lost space in the bathroom to have the toilet folder on and there should definitely be a shelf or closet in the bathroom to store the toilet paper when the dorull was laid on top of the lid of the garbage cans due to lack of storage space.. Had to move the garbage can to a place where it was possible to use it as it was penetrated in a corner deepest between the sink and the toilet. The wash button for the toilet had to be kept inside throughout the washing process. In addition, there is a big minus with shower curtain, this is simply nasty and unhygienic. To highlight the positive was good breakfast and nice staff, but one expected more of a room in a 4 star hotel..

Overnight stay during PSG
We stayed here during the PSG weekend, but unfortunately it was a very bad experience. The room and especially the beds were in very bad condition. They creaked and squeaked as soon as you moved, and it almost felt like the bed frame was broken. The feathers in the bed were also very worn and seemed to have done their bit long ago.
What really disappointed us though was the parking. When we checked in on Saturday we asked at the reception where we could park the car. We were told that we could stand where we intended to park, as long as we did not block the marked escape routes. We even showed on the map exactly where the car was, and the receptionist confirmed that it was perfectly fine.
We parked the car around 10.00. 19.00 on Saturday 27 June and checked out around 10.00. 10.00 on Sunday 28 June. Even so, we had been issued parking tickets. When we raised this with reception we were told they had tried to call us, but we had not received any calls or missed calls. It disappointed us very much and gave us the feeling that the staff were not taking responsibility for the information we had given us.
We hope that those responsible and the staff who worked during these times will be able to take part in this so that other guests do not have to suffer the same thing.
Overall, this was a very negative experience, and we will unfortunately not choose to stay here again.

Trist Hotel
Sad, cheerful and ghostly hotel. And "old" smell in the hallways and in the room. It may have been fine once, but now it seems worn down and depressing. We only saw the receptionist during the entire stay, who was friendly enough...but not especially engaged.
There was not even staff present at breakfast.
Maybe because they would not be targeted for the quality of it, who knows? At least it was ringing. Dried freezer bread, which was wet at the bottom. Salads that had formed crust (we were only at breakfast - so it hadn't happened the same day). Watered pjask as "juice" and cold eggs. All in all just as sad and unimportant as the hotel itself.
We will not return and cannot recommend it to others.
