Highly recommended

A bright studio compared to Stockholm hotels, where nothing was missing. Highly recommended also because of its location - it is only five minutes to walk to the famous castle Gripsholm on Lake Mälaren. The price is - compared to Stockholm hotels - then reasonable!
Just one tiny limitation: I - a technically not so accomplished old woman - initially struggled to get the key box on the room door open (hotel has no reception)

Cosy holiday apartment

Nice holiday apartment. The price real. Clean and neat. Too little equipment for five people. Easy access to sights, restaurants and shopping. Minigolf course within walking distance. Cozy town with wooden houses that send thoughts to Astrid Lindgren's universe.

Idyllic Mariefred

A little charming place. No front desk, but the key was in a key box where we got the code. A small apartment on the second floor overlooking the harbour. Breakfast can be purchased at a cafe nearby. Mariefred is an idyllic small town by the water. Many good restaurants with lots of visits so it is best to book tables.

Dirty, cold room with heavy mold growth in the refrigerator.

Checked into the suite on Christmas Eve night. It was the worst hotel experience ever. Maximum 17 degrees in the room. When we put food in the fridge it was not turned on and a thick green carpet of mold grew in more than half of the fridge. It looked like moss had been put in the fridge. Despite complaints no reduction on the very high price. Will never live there again even if it means we have to drive to Södertälje or Strängnäs when we can't stay with relatives in Mariefred.
