Great hospitality and amenities, but quite dated

If you are looking for a sleek, modern hotel with Instagram-worthy interiors, this probably isn't the place for you. The building itself is clearly older and has its best years behind it.
However, if you can look past the dated architecture, it’s a really solid choice. The rooms are surprisingly well-equipped, and you can see that the hotel tries to deliver a premium feel through the small details. What truly makes up for the older building is the staff—the service here is incredibly warm, helpful, and attentive. On top of that, the breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety of options.
Perfect for travelers who value a comfortable room, great food, and excellent service over modern design. Highly recommended for a cozy stay!

Needed so little for it to be good

The room was clean, but the shower was full of hair and there was toothpaste on the mirror plus wall.
The towel hooks were loose.
Paint was loose in the ceiling of the room in 2 places.
The beds were comfortable and clean.
Last night there was no coffee or milk for the tea.
Breakfast was the very best, hot breakfast rolls are always good!

Nice hotel in centrum

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, situated right next to the city center and the main train station, which made getting around incredibly easy. Every single member of the hotel team was extremely kind and always ready to help. As for the rooms, they are exceptionally comfortable and spacious, and the bathroom is brilliantly designed with a very wide and comfortable shower area. A huge plus was the flexibility with the towels, which you can easily take directly from the lovely housekeeping staff in the hallway every day. They never make an issue out of it, nor do they tire guests with those annoying signs about saving water and reusing the same towel. When it comes to breakfast, the food is of outstanding quality and offers a significantly higher standard than many 4-star hotels in major capital cities. The selection is excellent, and I must especially highlight the fresh, healthy sourdough bread that reminds me of top-tier German baking. There were also butter, eggs, jams, waffles, and a special praise goes to the fantastic milk selection, including a lactose-free option, which will be visible in my photos. This was actually the first time in my life that an AI assistant chose a hotel for me, and I have to admit it did a flawless job because First Hotel Jörgen Kock exceeded all expectations. It offers fantastic value for money and we would gladly return.

Good accommodation at good price

We had a nice stay at First Hotel Jörgen Kock. The hotel's biggest asset is the staff. Very nice reception and constantly with a smile on your face regardless of time. The location is very good with 5 minutes to Central Station and 10 minutes to town. The room was unusually large which we think is an advantage. Breakfast was ok. Lots of different yogurt and seeds / cereal and many kinds of bread. I might have liked a little more of the hot dishes. A great advantage was that there was always access to coffee. What was less good was the cleanliness of the room, or really the toilet. There were a lot of black spots on the wall in the shower and there was a lot of dust there too. The room also does not give a cozy or homely impression. Overall, we are still very satisfied, we got a good accommodation at a good price.

Good stay

Stayed here before and can actually not complain again.
The hotel is in a good location nearby the central station, the staff was friendly and my room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was fine as well.
Using the next door gym was easy and the price of 125 SEK was ok.
I stayed in a standard twin room. They could use some upgrade, but nothing was damaged or not working.
