Magical day at historical place. So lovely to experience the magnificent view, delicious food (incredible a la carte) that was so well prepared and delicious. Large lovely lounges and such a nice wine cellar where you could book drinks tasting
The room was clean, charming and the bed fell asleep well in Can warmly recommend this nice hotel but the friendly staff.

Nice hotel unfortunately not fantastic experience in the restaurant

Nice little hotel overlooking the lake. Unfortunately the service provided at the restaurant was not fantastic. In the restaurant, we waited for about 15min before there was a staff who came to serve us. She brought us to a table, however we wanted a table by the window as we saw there were some empty tables where guests had left earlier. She said the restaurant was full and we could not get one, we pointed to those empty tables and said we could wait. She did not look very pleased. After 5min, we got a table by the window. The same staff who showed us the table came to take our order, she was not smiling the whole time, and not helpful. We noticed none of the staff working in the restaurant were smiling or looked cheerful, they looked like they hated their job. Finally the staff who served us our dishes came to clear our plates, she asked how the food was and if we enjoyed, and she smiled and spoke in an upbeat tone (unfortunately we did not take her name). Shouldn’t your staff be a little more cheerful and smile to guests since you are in the service industry? Something perhaps you the management can look into, a little smile goes a long way to make your guests’ experience pleasant.

Good choice with great views.

Rented a hotel cottage for two nights, attracted by wonderful views of Lake Vättern. And was all, all impressed and smitten. Individual location without transparency, parking at the cottage, which was bright, clean, nice, with possibilities of own household. Fresh. And a furnished patio facing natural land where hares and birds welcomed to the fantastic view of Lake Vättern and Visingsö! Never again a hotel room when you can stay this freely in your own cottage (and still have hotel breakfast a few hundred meters away).

Well worth a visit

An incredibly cozy hotel with fantastic location and views of Vettern. The sunset is magical. Very friendly and service-minded staff. We had room in the tower with stunning views westward. Delicious dinner eaten in the cosy dining room while we admired the sunset. After a good night's sleep we ate a good breakfast before our trip went on.
Thanks for a great stay; we will be back soon
