Sanctuary from the rain

We have just spent 3 days at the Belvedere following our stay at Letaba rest camp. Edmund greeted us warmly on arrival and spent time with us talking about the area and wildlife and making suggestions on how best to spend our time. Unfortunately our stay coincided with a very rainy period, but we had Christine’s superb breakfasts and very tasty homecooked dinners to look forward to. We would highly recommend you avail yourself of these at a very reasonable cost. The location was excellent for entry to Kruger.

Great place at a fantastic location overlooking Kruger National Park and Crocodile River.

Once again we returned to Belvedere after few years away. What a great place at a great location on the bank of the crocodile river, over looking Kruger National park, we saw Elephants crossing the river in the afternoon and coming to visit us.
Great breakfast, great location very near to Malelane gate in Kruger National Park, we will be back every time we come back to South Africa and Kruger.
In fact, after 5 times visiting Kruger and South Africa, this is the best and quickest gateway to Kruger on our opinion, Crocodile Bridge is also good.

Curiosities Cabinet

This is a b&b that is somewhere between English chic and the ghost castle of the Efteling. This nuanced; The busy English atmosphere of this 10-room b&b is an abundance of everything that can be collected. Not all of it was as stylish to us. However, it was clean, provided you didn't look too closely. The bed was comfortable. There was a bath inside and the showering had to be done outside .The host was incredibly friendly. We have not had any contact with the hostess. A big plus is the terrace from which you look out on the river. This is located against the Kruger Park and also attracts many animals. Another plus was the breakfast, which was well taken care of.
A big minus we found the wifi. This was apparently turned off to save data. When we asked the staff for it they said it would be solved within an hour. Unfortunately this was not the case and it would not be available again until the evening. Wrong economy in my eyes. Had this not been the case, I might have given a slightly higher rating despite the fact that the decor was not our taste.

great place to stay

Next stop on our tour and another great place to stay, Edmund just took over in August and he's doing a great job, nice an friendly staff, we stayed in a small flat, perfect view to the river and the Kruger with all its amazing wildlife

all magnificent

A little luxury and comfort after kruger in an oasis of peace unfortunately only for one night
What about a place that immediately entered our hearts, much better than in pictures, great Welcoming by Edmund, we had room n.4 located downstairs below the reception overlooking the pool, huge with very comfortable beds and fragrant sheets, large, soft towels and also these fragrant in addition to bathrobes. Many sockets to charge various devices without the need to have adapter
Even the bathroom located a few steps above the room and separated by a curtain was huge with a bathtub, which for lack of time we did not use, and large shower with excellent jet and boiling water. Also present in the room are towels for the pool. Excellent wifi.
Room equipped with room spray with divine scent and the same line hand soap and body cream in glass packaging
Really an elegant house not to mention the terrace where breakfast is served overlooking the crocodile river and the kruger on the other bank, possibility to observe the animals and relax maybe at sunset. There is also an honest bar where you can help yourself and write down in your notebook what you took to pay later.
Breakfast is excellent quality even in elegant dishes, nothing is left to chance, you choose the night before the time and foods from a list.
We look forward to returning and staying longer we liked everything from the decor to the scent you breathe
