Our experience

Considering that Aberdeen is a very Small town, one must admit that the management and owners of this establishment are doing a great job. They are proud of their achievements and will walk the extra mile to make life for their guests as comfortable as possible. Private parking was available and it was also clear that guests enjoyed the swimming pool in the scorching heat at the day of our visit. Will I recommend this? – If you are in Aberdeen, this is probably the best place to stay.

Oasis in Aberdeen

The house we stayed in was spacious, immaculately clean and had everything you need for an overnight stay. Nomi welcomed us and checked in later to see everything was good, which it was. The real win, is the beautiful shady garden and sparkling reservoir-pool: an oasis in the Karoo.

Home from home

Jurgens was the best host ever. Our accommodation was comfortable and felt like home. It had everything we needed. The beds was nice and comfy. The swimming pool as unique as it use to be an dam that was converted. I which we could spend more time at Aberdeen. Picd attached of the entrance, the rooms and the garden

Motor Bikers Haven @ Aberdeen

Pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and hospitality of this quaint little Karoo-town, I wisely decided to spend my 1st night, en route - on my bike - George to Johannesburg, in town at Aberdeen Self Catering. From the moment I met Jurgens, the host, he made me feel right at home. Being a motorcycle enthusiast himself, he has dexterously transformed part of his property into a motorcyclist overnight haven. Here you have the choice of either pitching your own tent,or spending the night in one of his fully equipped tents. Ablution-wise, you will find an outdoor shower and loo at your disposal- where else! :) Should your body be in need of a more comfortable place of rest, though, he has 3 very spacious and well maintained cottages. Apart from the awesome accommodation, he also offers various bike outrides into the breathtaking surroundings. This is a definite overnight stop!

I am so sorry that i haven't seen you great write-up before. I do appreciate it. We now have Air conditioning in all our rooms, as well as a Luxury Glamping tent. (Also with Aircon) So all the bikers can have a luxury biking / camping experience!! :-)

Excellent stay

Aberdeen Self Catering has a homely, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The host, Jurgens Strydom went out his way to share local knowledge with me. It was a stay that I will turn into a regular occurance.
