Siumi’s Rest is a good place!

We spent two nights at this family run guest house. Awesome breakfast with juice ,tea, pancakes, toast butter and jam, which is in included in the price. Owner very friendly and eager to please. He even lent us broom handles to help us climb Sri Pada! Guest house is under five minutes walk from the start of the hike up the mountain. Rooms small and basic but clean with mossie nets. Attached bathroom with hot water shower although water pressure not good.

Great place to rest before the climb to Adam's Peak

We used the room just to sleep for a couple of hours before we climbed Adam's Peak. The locations is perfect for all hikers - only a couple of minutes away from the start of Adam's Peak trail. The room was ok for the price. It was small, clean, with no AC and there was a little moisture in the room.
The hosts were very friendly and made us very delicious dinner, one of the best we had in Sri Lanka. They also allowed us to check-out at 11 am, so that we were not in a rush from the top of Adam's peak.

Quick Adams Peak stopover

Was able to check in around 11pm. Only used the room for a total of 2 hours, but it got the job done. Location was great to the start of the trail and the owner helped us identify the best way to get to our destination.

It is ok to sleep before climbing Adam's Peak

There is really nothing special about this hotel, it is just regular one but it doesn't matter anyways as if you want to see sunrise from Adam's Peak you have to start climbing 2AM so not much of sleeping :-) Staff was really helpful, room was clean.

Only OK for one night

Good things first: his place is only a few minutes away from the start of the Adam's Peak climb.
The owners/managers are very friendly and helpful! Good dinner at night. BUT the rooms are bad. There is a very bad smell around (maybe mold, at least it smelled like it). Hard to find sleep! The smell goes really strong in your clothes and sleeping bag. We could not use them the next night in the other hotel. Also bad water pressure in the shower. However the rooms are clean...
In conclusion, it is ok for one night if nothing else in this price range is free. It' a pity because the staff is extremly friendly and caring!
