Amazing food, brilliant view, incredible staff
The food at the Stay Ceylon restaurant was to die for. Honestly five-star quality at really affordable prices — it felt like staying at a five-star restaurant the whole time.
The rooms were clean, the bed was super comfy and the pillows were fantastic. I stayed in room 303, which had incredible ocean views from both the lower-level lounge and my upper-level bedroom. Waking up and watching the sunrise from bed with a coffee in hand was the most amazing start to every single day.
This place comes highly recommended — I’ll absolutely be back!

Stay Ceylon is the place in Weligama!
The location is perfect, right on the beach with sunbeds set up, and the team was helpful all through our stay.
Our suite on the top floor was spacious and comfortable. We loved the big patio doors that let in lots of natural light, and the bed was really comfortable.
The staff made the biggest difference. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and they genuinely made us feel looked after. They went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable.
The food was excellent. The veggie curry, tuna steak, Australian steak, and especially the seafood platter were all great. Special thanks to Pody for the cocktails, the mango daiquiri and spicy margarita were our favorites. Also special thanks to Gayan, Sagal and Neeshan for the great service during our meals.
The housekeeping was excellent as well. Thank you Samirah for your supervision, you and the team did a great job.
I wish i can remember all the staff names to thank one by one
Stay Ceylon is a place I’d recommend to anyone, and we’d definitely come back.

Wonderful stay at a wonderful place.
The food was fantastic throughout our stay, with a great variety and consistently high quality. The seafood was especially good, and the team were always happy to accommodate requests.
The room amenities were also impressive — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. It felt modern and well maintained, with attention to detail that made a difference.
One thing we particularly appreciated was the staff’s knowledge and advice on local trips and activities. They gave great recommendations for beaches, surfing, transport, and day trips, helping us make the most of our time in the area.
The location is another huge advantage — perfectly situated close to the beach, cafes, and everything Weligama has to offer, while still feeling calm and relaxing.
Overall, an amazing experience with outstanding service. We would definitely stay here again.
