Satisfied

Had a wonderful one‑night stay at Eco Villa Deniyaya and it exceeded expectations. The room was clean, the food was tasty, and everything felt comfortable and homely. Special shout‑out to the owner, Mr. Bandula, for his excellent hospitality and genuine care. Parking was ample, the family kitchen was well‑maintained, and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend and return!

Go if you're a nature lover

The thing here is that Eco Villa has the best tour guides ever to go to Sinharaja forest reserve and it's family-owned, very heartful and good people the whole family. Food is very delicious and they can tell and show you fascinating things of nature.
It's just that the room was moldy. At the same time we understand it's not easy to keep the property fresh and clean in such a humid place. They do have AC, but it's in mold, too. So if you're asthmatic, don't go.
If you're a nature lover, you can sleep one night in a place never mind the lacks to experience an unforgettable tour in Sinharaja Rain Forest. Both son Achi and father Bandulla are the best guides you can get at the area.

The best choice for hiking in Sinharaja

The best choice to stay here with Bandula, probably the most famous tracker and profound connoisseur of Sinharaja. His Eco Villa has great large en-suite rooms and delicious home cooking, plus stories from his eventful life as a trained biologist and Sinjaraja Hiking pioneer

Did not like the experience

Sorry to report that this is not good as advertised. Dirty bathroom with no soap or shampoo. Room was clean , air-conditioned and spacious. Breakfast and tea were not up to standard and owner charged way too much.
