Comfortable and Leisure Stay

We checked-in here in Mirissa on 22 Dec 2017. Hosts are simple and very nice people. The rooms are comfortable with good air-conditioning, clean washrooms and the wifi internet was really good. The place is on google navigation and not an issue to get in here. There is a beach just 20 meters from this accommodation which is not attractive enough but yeah, on both days of our stay, I did visit the little beach early morning to get fresh air.
We spent our time mostly on the beautiful Mirissa beach and an evening at W-15 Weligama (strongly recommended to visit). Local transport is readily available in form of tuk-tuk. Hosts were helpful in arranging tuk-tuk for us and usual rates to Mirissa beach are 300 LKR one-side and to W-15 (Weligama) slightly more (LKR-500 one side). On returning to this place, you got to tell the tuk-tuk drivers the full address but we resorted to navigating back to Akash Villa. Why tell full address to the tuk-tuk driver? To avoid any haggling on termination of your trip.
Well - we were blessed to stay at Akash Villa and Mirissa stay was one of the best time spent on entire holiday trip.
They provide you with kitchen facilities, landline local calling and refrigerator. As said earlier, the hosts are a simple family and very down to earth. They were on their feet to help us and provide us all the information we needed to spend our time at Mirissa.
Another good thing about our stay here was that it was a 'mosquito-free' place. About mobile connectivity, I had taken a Dialog Mobile SIM from outside the International Airport on the day of our arrival in Colombo. Its very economical for local calling and you get 2 GB data for mobile internet also (total cost was approximately LKR 600 only). For onward top-up (recharge), Dialog has top-up cards which are easily available at all places.

The best villa in mirissa

akash villa is excellent villa in mirissa. good breakfast.we had delicious dinner in akash villa .it was superb.i booked here via booking,com.akash villa is located in few meters from nice beach.i had lovely stay in akash villa.i highly recommend akash villa.

Good place

We stayed there good price AC rooms hot water did not work for my room but over all worth the price lovely people made us tea gave us Wi-Fi. Location is alright recommend for locals as sometimes foreigners have high expectations...keep up the good work...

Mitigé

Nous avions réservé 4 nuits dans la chambre la moins chère (sans AC). La salle de bain n'avait pas été nettoyé: il restait des brosses à dents, des trucs dans la poubelle et une jolie touffe de cheveux par terre ! La chambre est petite et la fenêtre donne sur l'arrière de la maison pas vraiment entretenu.
Nous avons passé 2 nuits avant que les propriétaires nous disent que l'on doit partir car ils ont eu une réservation pour la maison complète ! Ils nous font visiter 2 autres endroits et on choisit un bungalow au top (grande chambre, salle de bain niquel et terrasse privative en face de la mer (on est les 3emes sur le registre !). Et le lendemain, ils reviennent pour nous dire qu'on doit retourner chez eux car leur réservation a été annulée... On négocie quand même la grande chambre avec AC et rien à redire.
Une sacrée histoire...
Propriétaires sympathiques, salon commun ok, cuisine moyenne (frigo sale), plage à côté. Petit déjeuner bon
Prévoir un scooter pour visiter les alentours car loin de la ville (1000rs/jour).
