Good value for money and did the job for short stay

Was visiting Kandy with a foreign friend. Needed a place to stay close to Kandy City. Access ok tuk tuk driver lives across the hotel or in the hotel. Breakfast was good and lady at the kitchen was extremely hard working to please the guests. Making tea and food. We ordered vegetarian but she had prepared chicken for us. Promptly made vege dishes for us. Parking is available – can be rare at the location. Can take tuk tuk or walk to near by recruitments. Good Wifi. Good value for money. Mostly helpful staff.
Staff wanted us to checkout early in the morning saying they have guests. Afte saying we need to come back and have a bath (after visiting Temple and Kandy city) the staff member stopped trying to check us out (he wanted to get all the bags in to a room and get the keys so new guests can use our rooms). But after saying no - he gave up and was nice to us after. The view is not good - but was not expecting the view to be good anyway. Pictures can be misleading - cannot see the lake from here.

"A Hidden Emerald Embrace"

Tucked away from the temple crowds but close enough to feel the heartbeat of Kandy, Forest Villa Resort felt like stepping into a private green kingdom. The misty hills, the gentle chorus of birds, and the scent of wet earth after rain created the perfect backdrop for our family reset.
The villa’s spacious layout was ideal for us — the kids had their own little reading nook overlooking the forest, while my wife and I enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony watching monkeys swing by (from a safe distance!). The staff, especially Ranjan, were genuinely warm. It felt less like a resort and more like staying at a wise uncle’s beautiful hill home. Pure magic for families craving calm with character.

Very bad owner

A very bad person who doesn't even know how to speak, there's a scam going on inside. They're trying to steal money if they see us leaving. The room isn't clean enough, the washroom was also very dirty when I went there.

Value for money budget Hotel

Nicely located to Kandy city, and very easy to get around. Stayed for few days and rooms are very good plus they have free WiFi etc. Staffs and manager are very helpful. Easy walk towards kandy lakes. Rooms are very reasonably priced.

Most staff friendly and helpful
The hotel should have closed to do the renovation. It was dirty, dusty, and walls in rooms mouldy. The bathroom smelt of sewage. Claimed they didn’t charge us for meals but breakfast was supposed to be included in the price. Tried to give the driver a store room to sleep.
