Amazing dosa as breakfast

I had only breakfast at property, being an Indian was looking for some veg indian breakfast. Staff was very courteous. I had the best dosa here in srilanka. Simply mouth watering - crisp, mouth watering chutney and aaloo masala. They took time to prepare and we were informed that if informed prior, they can have it ready earlier ( were staying in property next to this hotel) but wait was worth. They also offered one serving of dosa free of cost and didn't charge anything. (One plate has 2 dosas and we ordered three). I simply loved the food and their hospitality. It was cost effective too and was 100% value for money.

Bad experience, hotel to avoid!!

We had booked two nights at the Heven Seven Hotel in Kandy, attracted by the photos and positive reviews describing it as a 3-star hotel. Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived, we realized that nothing written or shown corresponds to reality.
Positive reviews clearly seem fake, because the property is in very poor condition.
The rooms were full of mold, the sheets dirty and even with hair.
The air conditioners were covered in dust, completely uncleaned, turning them on would be dangerous to health. But keeping them off was not even an option, because there were signs on the windows that forbade leaving them open for the risk of monkeys entering. So I ask myself, how do you breathe in a closed room, with the air conditioner unusable and mold everywhere?
We reported all the problems to the manager, but he was grumpy, arrogant and bullying.
After showing him the state of the rooms, his answer was simply: “I don’t see any problem.”
Basically, he played us, without the slightest interest in resolving the situation.
At that point, we literally ran away from that hotel.
Horrible experience, dilapidated structure, rude staff.
I highly recommend not to book, the photos and reviews do not reflect reality in the least.

Heaven Seven Kandy

Good location but very basic hotel. Reception is the dining room. Food was very basic and quite poor . Room was adequate but very small and dark with no windows. However The staff were charming, cheerful and very helpful. We were only there one night hotel served its purpose

Loved the location

This was the perfect location. Walking distance to the city center and Temple but quiet enough to enjoy my time too. My room was a good size and very clean. The staff was amazing. The hotel restaurant was very good also. I greatly enjoyed my stay here.

Great location, right by the lake and walking distance to the tooth relic temple. I did have a monkey rob me of my $100 bill and everything with a wrapper in my luggage. So make sure to keep all your doors and windows closed when you leave for the day. The WiFi was not strong on the top level so ask for a room on the lower floors. Staff was friendly and helpful.
