A great place to stay in Tissamaharana

A lovely property with a view of a lake. Lots of birdlife in and around the property. A short but pretty distance to town easily done by foot, bike or vehicle.
Our room was clean. Spacious and comfortable with aircon, fan, hot water and mosquito nets. Breakfast was delicious and huge. Served on a balcony overlooking the lake. Coconut pancakes were excellent.

Stay at the Birds View Hotel

We spent 2 days in this peaceful hotel located near a lake and not far from Yala National Park. The rooms are spacious, clean , well maintained overlooking a green area with beautiful peacocks. The staff is helpful, attentive and did everything to make your stay pleasant. The dinners and breakfasts were hearty and tasty. We recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Brilliant at this price point

Excellent. Simple hotel at a crazy low price. Room small but adequate with a very efficient air conditioning unit. And, Believe it or not, a shower that actually produced hot water. We booked our Yala Safari here and amongst a whole heap of animals and birds we did get to see a leopard.
Food was simple, inexpensive and well cooked. Views across the lake and the sunset are to be enjoyed.
Downside was the mosquitoes but the staff did quite an efficient join of keeping them at bay with some smoke.
Owner and staff ready and willing to please.
Certainly to be recommended.

Great Stay

A nice accommodate Infront of beautiful lake. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The host arranged a safari at Yala National Park and Bundala National park. The safari was very nice.
We could see all the animals including leopards also.
A very nice place with nice staff.
