Simple sweet little guesthouse

A simple little guesthouse 5 minutes off the main Ella drag. Basic but perfect for our needs. Excellent service, quiet, comfortable and clean. The shower wasn't great - either scolding hot or freezing cold (with literally no middle ground that we could find!) but that's the only negative. 8/10.

Cozy simple accommodation with high come back factor

Cozy, simple, ok breakfast on your own balcony. Never hesitated to stay here again. Don't expect a luxury without a cuddle. 300-400 m to the main street. Ella's best restaurant 50 m from the hotel, AK Ristoro. Good laundry 150 m. There is no AC but it was not needed in February.

This place is more like a guest house than a hotel, staff are very friendly and will do what they can for you.

Breakfast is served to your room or in my case to my patio area, verySri Lankan type n.breakfast, fruit plate, toast,butter,jam, something Sri Lankan which changes every day, tea or coffee. Room has kettle, hairdryer and free tea and coffee. Room and walk in bathroom basic but very clean, light and great for a single person or couple. Only some 200 meters from one of the main side roads where restaurants, shops etc are all within easy walking. Plug type is British 13 amp three pin plus and round thrip.e sockets. One problem for me was the shower was initially lacking in temperature and pressure, temperature on the day before my last was better but still no pressure and they were saying they were going to fix next week? I. Can’t comment but this was a real negative for me as with the heat I like to have two showers every day.

Nice, quiet and clean accommodation

Our room was nice and big and bright.
The terrace is welcoming and it puts you in a good mood to have breakfast there in the morning.
The owners always ask what you want to eat. It is sufficient and fresh.
In the room there is an electric kettle for tea/coffee in between.
A fan is already standing.
The bed is large, cozy and has warm, clean blankets and pillows.
Only storage areas for luggage, wardrobe (cabinet, hooks, hangers) or personal items are almost non-existent
The bathroom is large, the lighting not optimal. The shower needs a little technology but is good.
Only the water supply is annoying and noisy, even if other rooms draw water.
The location is good and quiet.
For all questions, the owners are ready and happy to help and fast.

Excellent value and service

Excellent location away from the hubbub o the centre of Ella down a quiet lane but only a 5 minute walk into town. The room was very spacious and clean and simply furnished. Each room had a private terrace where breakfast was served and views enjoyed. Breakfasts were enormous and delicious. The welcome and support throughout our stay was both charming and very helpful and they arranged several excellent trips for us.
