Great location, delicious breakfast, and very helpful staff
We chose this hotel mainly because of its central location, and it definitely didn't disappoint. We were able to walk to many attractions, which made getting around the city really easy.
Our room was quite small, but since we only used it for sleeping, it wasn't a big issue. On two nights, we heard some noise from the corridor between 1 and 2 a.m. It sounded like housekeeping equipment or a hairdryer, along with some loud conversations. We were also a bit jet-lagged as our home country is six hours ahead, so we were more sensitive to the noise.
Breakfast was included in our stay and was served at the restaurant next to the hotel. Although the selection wasn't huge, there was enough variety for everyone. Every morning I enjoyed eggs, melon, paratha, and my absolute favourite—the French toast. It was honestly the best French toast I've ever had!
Housekeeping was incredibly efficient. While we were having breakfast, they cleaned our room, so by the time we returned everything had already been been done. The towels had been replaced, and my friend's bed had been made, while mine was left untouched because I had left my belongings on it, which I actually appreciated. It showed that the staff respected guests' personal belongings.
One unexpected highlight was the hairdryer. It was powerful and dried my hair in no time—the best hotel hairdryer I've ever used!
When we first entered the room, the air conditioning was set to 17°C, which was a bit too cold for us, so we turned it off for the rest of our stay. We also really liked having a filtered drinking water tap in the bathroom. It was a thoughtful feature and very convenient.
The hotel has a swimming pool, although we didn't get a chance to use it. Another thing we found very convenient was that all of our tour pickups, as well as our airport transfer, picked us up from behind the hotel.
A special thank you to Benson, who went above and beyond for us on our last day. He kindly called a taxi for us and even contacted CE LA VI Restaurant to let them know we were running late so our reservation wouldn't be cancelled. We really appreciated his kindness and willingness to help.
The reception staff were always able to answer our questions, although the overall welcome could have been a little warmer. At check-out, no one asked how our stay had been, and although it was my birthday, no one wished me a happy birthday. It wasn't a big deal, but it would have been a nice personal touch.
One small suggestion for the hotel would be to offer international plug adapters to borrow at reception, if that's possible. I'm not sure whether this is something the hotel can provide, but it would certainly be helpful for international guests. I was lucky to have brought my own universal adapter, but we had two different types of plugs to charge our devices, so having adapters available would be a nice added convenience.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The excellent location, delicious breakfast, convenient amenities, efficient housekeeping, and Benson's outstanding service made our stay memorable. We would happily stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable base to explore the city.

The Best
Great location for our 4 night stay with a MRT station only 20 metres away. Booked a superior room for the two of us and whilst the room is on the smaller size we did not visit Singapore to spend our time in the room. Great view from our room.
Was always an option to book a larger room at a higher price but we only wanted somewhere to shower and sleep.
Was an issue with a smoker on our floor and when my wife reported it to the front desk they were onto it straight away.
Staff were always very helpful and greeted us every time we left or came back to the hotel. My wife and I would like to say a big thank you to Benson who went out of his way to offer help and assist.
Was always an option to book a larger room at a higher price but we only wanted somewhere to shower and sleep.

Excellent hotel
I stayed at V hotel Bencoolen between 8-13 july 2026. This is the 3rd years which I came to Singapore for work and V hotel Bencoolen is the first hotel that when i came to check in, i felt like the staff was really ready to help, she have such a warm, cheerful smile, and she always make me feel cared for and at ease.
I'd lived this place for 5 days. In every morning and after i went back to the hotel what stood out to me was that every staff member consistently greeted guests with a warm and welcoming smile.
I would also like to compliment the hotel's facilities. Although the room was not very large, it was thoughtfully designed and had everything I needed.One of the things I appreciated most was the impeccable cleanliness of the room. As someone who is very particular about cleanliness, I can honestly say that this hotel is perfect for guests who share the same standards. Every corner of the room was impeccably clean, and it was obvious that the housekeeping team took great pride in their work. Their attention to detail was truly outstanding.
One staff member I would especially like to thank is Ms. May, who took care of my room during my stay. She did an exceptional job maintaining the room and ensuring it was always spotless. Her attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness were truly remarkable.
Beyond that, she was also very attentive to guests' needs and always made sure everything was taken care of. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication made a lasting impression on me.
