Beautiful Old School type Hotel

Very beautiful Old Building with decent sized rooms and Balcony. Very comfortable and with its own private parking

Excellent choice to explore transylvania

I have stayed at the hotel to explore the surrounding area including the fagaras mountains.
I have been deeply pleased by the kindness of the staff. When I arrived I had a problem with my bike. They guided me to the right shop to repair it, even offered to use their tools if needed. It saved the whole trip.
The barman guided me through different choices of local drinks and places to eat.
The Spa was the highlight of the day when I could indulge in a well deserved massage. The place is huge and offers all kind of services (jacuzzi,sauna...).
The room was spacious (I was upgraded) with a balcony. The decoration is different from what you would find in western Europe, but not that much. Obviously It matches the local taste which is good. Itwas clean, quiet, with everything working as it should. I did enjoy it.
It is not in the center of the city, so you will need a car if you want to go out to visit the city.

Disappointed

The building is beautiful and the location is superb. But, even all presentations say "luxury", I didn't see anything a decent 4 star hotel didn't have, beside the size of the room. Well, it was a "regular" room, not a suite.
The disappointment though was the breakfast: it cost a lot, it was the usual breakfast you can find at any hotel (fair enough), but fish-based dishes were mixed between others and same utensils were used in all of them, cross- contaminating them all and nobody seemed to care. So all we can safely eat for 100RON were 2 boiled eggs

Great hotel

Our friends along with my husband and I stayed here as we toured Transylvania.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
We use the swimming pool both nights which was a great respite from touring the area all day.
The staff was friendly and welcome treat.
If in Sibui don't pass on this hotel, stay here.

Maybe its Nice for Romania!

I am a Diamond Member of the Hilton Family. I have read all the other reviews and realize that in comparison to other hotels in Romania one may think this particular Hilton is a Gem. In reality it is a very tired property with furniture in the room which is sat out and looks like it was here during the Communist times. The shower is with in a HIGH Tub with no grab bar and a quarter piece of glass . Getting out for an older person is very difficult and I am sure for a young person they have to think about being careful. The breakfast in the morning is quite nice except for the fact that they say a person will make special eggs. The only problem there is no one manning the station. All and all this hotel is long over due for a make over or a change of name to one of Hiltons lesser brands.
