A good hotel, but slightly far out of the centre, not far from the O2 Arena

For the most part this hotel was acceptable. It was clean, breakfast was the basic continental breakfast with cheeses, meat, various breads, jams etc.
However, the mattress was too thin on a hard bed frame, probably okay if you're a lighter person - sadly not for me.
Given that the temperature outside ranged from -6 to +3c, the room was warm.
To get to central Prague, it was a busy (2 stops), then the metro (about 6-8 stops). The best option was a 72-hour pass, which was easily purchased via the PID app. It cost about £10. A 30min ticket was £1.30; 90min = £3.20
The app showed all available routes and time to the next train/tram/bus. All you needed to do was search for the destination required.
The museum at the top of Wenceslas Square was an interesting place to spend time with the cold weather. Lots of things to see and a lovely building.
Also on the square was the railway restaurant, where drinks and food are delivered on a train. Dinner for 4 with wine came to £160.
There were several other restaurants/bars that we visited, all good value.

hotel is in major need of upgrade
bad points
lost booking initially
first room sent too had not been cleaned dirty sheets, obviously as left by previous guests
second room, right next to railway line, trains running all night,
no air con roasting
fridge humming all night
shower rail missing shower head holder, so had to hand hold
no lock on door, cleaner came in room in morning unexpectedly
pool and pretty much everything else is not included all extra charge
good points

ok if on budget
lady on reception when arrived was super helpful and the only good bit of the hotel

Its not bad

Just got back from 4 days in Prague, ok this hotel isnt too bad bit dated but its ok for a cheap stay. Downside is it is a fair way from the centre so its either a bolt or public transport as deffo not walking distance, i tried the bus and train but as nobody spoke english i ended up in the middle of nowhere lol , would i stay here again ? No only reason for that is the distance to the centre. Breakfast is basic but good enough to start your day , staff are friendly and polite , my room was a bit noisy as next to the train tracks but im not moaning for what i paid beggars cant be choosers! Give it 4 out of 5 and thans to the staff who were as i said very polite and friendly

Overall, it was decent accommodation, except for one major inconvenience: in the evening, the front desk gave my room to new guests, which came as quite a shock to both sides.

Acceptable.

All in all, a sufficient experience: it is close to the O2 Arena, the venue of the conference I attended, in a somewhat peripheral area of Prague, but the tram service works really well, so reaching the center was easy. The breakfast is not great, but I found it sufficient to have bread, butter, and jam. Room with some imperfections (the carpet was stained, the faucet in the bathroom was wobbly, and the toilet paper holder was loose), there is no service to tidy up the room (you have to make your own bed), but I would say overall a good quality-price ratio. Friendly staff.
