Ibis Praha Old Town
Ibis Praha Old Town is situated in the heart of Prague, 100 metres from the old town. Na Porici, the main shopping street, is just a few steps away. All rooms of the Ibis Praha provide air conditioning, a shower and a toilet.

A good stay
Stayed at the Ibis Old Town Prague because we've stayed at other Ibis properties before. It's not a luxury hotel, but it offers enough amenities to be comfortable and is very much a "you get what you pay for" experience.
The positives first: we were able to check in a little early, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location is excellent, and the price was very reasonable. Being right beside the Palladium shopping center was a bonus for my teenager. The tram stop is right outside, making it easy to get around the city, and Old Town and many major sights are within easy walking distance.
They have a bar area with tv and a dining area for i assume breakfast. We took part in neither but it looked nice enough.
Our room had two twin beds and was fairly small, but the space was well organized. There was a useful wardrobe area, a desk, and enough storage to make the room functional despite its size.
We heard very little noise from neighboring rooms. Most of the noise came from the hallway when other guests let their doors slam shut or stopped to have conversations outside their rooms.
One area that could use attention is cosmetic maintenance. The bathroom door handle was loose and stayed hanging down instead of returning to its normal position. Some of the baseboards were showing wear, and the carpet looked either stained, poorly vacuumed, or simply worn from age. None of these issues affected our stay, but they were noticeable.
My biggest complaint, however, is the shower, and this has been a recurring issue at other Ibis properties we've visited. The hotel provides only two bath towels for two guests plus a bath mat, with no hand towels. That means you end up using the same towel you've dried your body with to dry your freshly washed hands.
My biggest complaint was the shower. The shower head is mounted on a fixed holder that appears to adjust only left and right rather than up and down, causing the spray to shoot outward toward the shower door instead of downward. Because of this design, water sprays through the gap at the door opening and along the side seal, leaving the bathroom floor wet after every shower. While usable, it was one of the least practical hotel shower setups I've encountered.
Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend it to others. Just be aware that you'll be trading some comfort and room size for the lower cost. For me, the biggest downside remains the shower.

The room is well-designed and providing a safe and clean environment for tourists. However, some amenities are slightly aged like the hairdryer, it is not functioning at all.

Great location, great breakfast very helpful staff. The lobby bar area and breakfast area looked fabulous but rooms need a lot of love. Bathroom shower tray had cracks which they tried to seal but looked very unpleasant. Also water from the shower would leak to the bathroom floor into the carpet. My room started smelling nasty. Front desk was very kind to change the room and the issue was fixed.
