Wonderful Czech cuisine for fair price

We had a wonderful Czech lunch at U Halmu, with delicious local Riesling wine. The pork belly had a crispy, but yet mellow inside, the Riesling was rich in minerals. I prefer the Karlovy Vary dumplings over the potato ones. Nice experience, I recommend having a lunch here with the locals.

Nice and cosy restaurant for a dinner and couple of drinks.

We visited Hustopeče for a weekend off,stayed at different hotel,but visited the restaurant of “Pension u Hamlů” for a dinner and drink.
Very cosy place with friendly personnel at first look,we had our small dog with us,no issue there.
For drink we had a bottle of local frizzante,which was good,Pilsner beer which was good,couple of local distillery made famous almond spirit,which was excellent.
The dinner was good,started with duck breast terina,delicious,home made made chips,very good,tartar(mixed by the cook),was good.
Overall it’s a nice place where locals go for a beer,vine and chit-chat.
I had a small talk with the waiter and he was very friendly,guiding us to the local distillery and checking Saturday shop open hours.
I must recommend this restaurant to anyone ,cannot speak about the accommodation‍♂️.

Best kept secret!

We made a brief stop here for lunch on our way to Prague from Vienna. We were not disappointed with the restaurant. The staff was pleasant and friendly, but the food was outstanding! A must visit! It’s out of the way but just google it.

Lunch Was Sooo Yummy!!

We were talking about lunch and our ondaytrip.com driver recommended this place during our trip from Vienna to Prague. He said the food was good and the price reasonable. He was right! And with an English menu, we knew exactly what we were ordering. The chili, though not spicy, must have been an original recipe, so yummy! The large portion of tender, very tasty ribs were finger lickin' good. Everything our group of 6 ordered (we tasted each order's food) tasted homemade. The place wasn't fancy but clean, spacious, with a comfortable atmosphere. You must stop by and have a meal here.
