Nice hostel for reasonable price

Perfect location close to the railway station (but it was not noisy). We stayed in nice and clean room with our own bathhroom and toilet. Everything looked new and modern.
It is nice place for reasonable price.

Had a lovely time in Decin

We have been with our children aged 16 and 18 a week in this Hostel. The room is spacious enough for 4 and equipped with a table and kitchen unit. Because there is no extractor hood we did not cook ourselves. Breakfast is cheap and good, downside was that one of the breakfast ladies was not happy with us but because we do not understand Czech and she did not speak English we have no idea why. One of the other ladies we met on another day was a really sweet lady. The people at reception speak English and also offer tips on activities in the area. The bathroom was fine, we got several sets of towels. Our room was on the ground floor of the building with no reception on the street side, the windows were taped so we had little sunlight in the room and except for a small folding window no possibility to air. We thought that was a disadvantage. We got tickets to use public transport in the region throughout our stay, the Hostel is a great base for beautiful walks in the area and because it is opposite the station for train trips to Prague for example.

Short hiking trip

The staff were friendly and the location is great. But the beds were very uncomfortable. We stayed two nights and tried two rooms. The first had spring mattresses that were so old you could feel every spring while lying down. The second we suspect was a wooden box with a thing strip of foam on top. We often stay in hostels and are not typically picky travellers, but can't give a good review to this hostel as we both slept terribly.

Budget option

No frills and run down option across from
the main train station and very close to a Billa supermarket, which works conveniently if planning a trip to Bohemian Switzerland National Park.
Rooms are ok but could be cleaned better. It was clear that the tables weren’t being wiped. 1 bed private with separate private washroom is ok, except that since the bathroom door doesn’t have a key, others can use your washroom. No A/C, and some rooms don’t have windows. Some rooms are up 4-5 sets of stairs, and there’s no elevator.
Common area and shared fridges was good to have, but a bit dirty.
Keep your expectations low, but if you need a budget option here, this is fine.

Not bad place for 1 night

Perfect location, very nice receptionist. She recommended us an excellent place for dinner. We have the room from the picture (A) with private bathhroom. There is everything neccessary for preparing food if you want and a fridge.
There is not a TV and terrible hard mattresses.
The place needs urgent a major reconstruction! And please discard the bathroom pad.
