Beautiful place to eat

Just had lunch here and couldn’t fault if.
Food quality was very good and the Czech wine recommended to us was also very nice. Service was quick and very friendly. The restaurant is cash only but that is no problem there is an ATM close by which they are happy to give directions to. We walked in and out of three other restaurants before this one for various reasons, poor food quality, rip off prices and bad attitude. If you are in Český Krumlov for just a few hours as we were then eat here you won’t be sorry.

Super great restaurant

We were here twice in the days around Easter and I've only just read the reviews here and I'm completely surprised why people are writing so many bad things. Perhaps the staff was replaced because of the reviews? We were here one evening just to drink beer and thought the atmosphere was brilliant, lots of lovely decorations, furs and blankets and candles so you can sit outside for a long time in the evening. We were greeted warmly and all three waitresses who served us were very funny and caring. The beer was very good and the view unforgettable. So we came back here the next evening for dinner. The waitresses recognized us immediately and gave us a very friendly welcome. Every few minutes they asked if we were OK, and the ashtray was emptied after every cigarette. The food was very tasty and the portions were sufficient. It is a bit expensive, but the two other terrace restaurants next door charge twice the price, so they are cheaper than others in the area. The red-haired and blonde waitresses were constantly making jokes, it was a great atmosphere. The interior ambience is also very beautiful and unusual, especially the bathroom, which is very atmospherically decorated. We can only recommend this restaurant and in the time we were there twice, it was always full and other people also seemed to be in a good mood and happy. We sat outside on the beach for a long time and enjoyed the great view.

Don't come here, you risk being attacked

DO NOT RECOMMEND, AGGRESSIVE STAFF AND OWNER. We went here for dinner, unfortunately we didn't choose because of the wrong composition of dishes, it's probably wrong to have dishes for dinner that are intended mainly for lunch at 19:30. After we told them that we were leaving because we didn't choose, the staff were aggressive towards me, the owner even attacked me in front of the guests on the terrace!!! The staff speaks mostly broken Czech, rather Russian! BOYCOTT !

Expensive and unfriendly. Better not!!!!!

Very unfriendly service! The boss is rushed and really extremely unfriendly. Very rude and unprofessional from the start. It's best to give the restaurant a wide berth! Expensive and unfriendly!

Amazing experience: totally!

I have to say that I was concerned about this pension given the few (but bad) reviews it has. However, our experience here in a long March weekend was just amazing. We came for my wife's birthday and I have to say that we will never forget how great the whole time was.
That was mainly because of the great staff. It is a family business and indeed the whole family is toiling on the property. They were extremely nice, obliging, doing everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Coffees ready any time in the morning (in the room or in the restaurant). They have arranged for us a trip to a wellness hotel in one of the days, got us discounted parking tickets and didn't know what to do to make a table available for us anytime we got back here for dinner. (See my separate review for their restaurant).
Whatever problems we had in the room (bulbs needing replacement, etc.): were all solved and apologies received.
Indeed, as other reviewers said, the pension is located very close to a bar where they throw noisy parties. But Kristinka's people can't do much about it... It was very close to us, but as we kept the window closed (it was also a very wintry night), we could rest very well.
The location is great, in the old town, very close to one of the parking lots where the car can be dropped.
We had a good time: when we left, the whole staff lined up and greeted us. We will definitely return. For easygoing people who like a great welcome and warm people, this is the place.
