Old bell inn

Great hosts and clean and tidy room. Staff very pleasant and attentive. Food in restaurant was lovely and breakfast was superb to.

Return Visit with Friends and a Birthday celebration.

We had promised ourselves a return visit after a first time last February, taking a couple of good friends who hadn't been before. They loved the Inn and especially its Gin Palace make up, and again we all enjoyed their efficient and warm welcome and service. All were happy with their choice of food and of course their drinks, particularly a gin and tonic quaffed by myself. It was great to return and we will visit again in the near future.

It wasn’t as good as expected

The bedroom was tired and cold although the bathroom was better. The staff were indifferent and the food okay but not great. It gave the impression that locals came first. The location was good for a couple of days. It was definitely overpriced.

Like visiting an old friend

Short break back in my old home village. Might be called the "Old" Bell but everything is top class.
Great welcome, clean and well presented room, excellent breakfast and decent value for money. Suggest asking for a room at the back as although the A road is not too busy it might disturb light sleepers?
