Would be better if there was draft beer served in the bar & not cans.
Disappointed that no restaurant facilities for evening meal.
Room could really do with decorating & updating

We had a wonderful stay at the Hope Anchor. Located up on the hill with nice views led to relaxing walks through Rye's cobblestone streets. Rye is small enough that you are close to everything and we were never more than an eight minute walk to anywhere. We had the most peaceful stay imaginable.

The Crows’ Nest is a nice dual-aspect room, light, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast cooked to order. Great position with public parking not too far away. Don’t struggle up the steep steps from Strand, go up Mermaid St and turn right along Traders’ Passage.

Disappointing in so many ways

Lovely views from windows. Newly updated bathroom. Fresh milk in bedroom. Hardworking and cheerful staff member managing breakfast room. But everything else was a disappointment: lacklustre attitude of front of house member of staff, very tired bedroom (didn't appear to have been updated since the 80's!), no parking available nearby, many breakfast ingredients were poor quality (sausages, coffee, what appeared to be tinned mushrooms). Would not choose to re-visit

Nice character filled historic hotel in the centre of Rye Old Town, good breakfast, room small but comfortable, our room only had a bath with a handheld shower nozzle, not ideal but ok for one night. All the towns attractions are within 5 mins walk. Parking limited near the hotel although we were lucky to get a park 1 min walk away that was available to non residents 6pm-9pm. Otherwise there was a public carpark less than 5 mins walk away.
