Excellent all round

Fairfield deserves its excellent reviews. Mandy is an amazing host, whose attention to detail is remarkable. We stayed in the Mackintosh room, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has a lovely view over the fabulous garden. There’s a plentiful supply of hot drink options in the room, plus a Nespresso machine in the downstairs hall, along with homemade shortbread, and a cold cupboard with fresh milk. Wine glasses and a corkscrew are also provided in the room. Good quality towels and nice toiletries completed our positive impression. The sitting and dining rooms are welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent: fresh juices, fresh fruit salad, and yoghurts; a full English option which was well cooked and properly hot; and plenty of toast and coffee. Warkworth itself is a pretty place, and it’s an easy walk from the guest house. Highly recommended!

A fabulous stay at Fairfield Guesthouse

We managed to get a last minute booking here and so glad we did. We arrived and was greeted by Mandy who showed us to a beautiful room in her fabulous house. The room was elegantly furnished, all the linen and bedding was of a high grade and a very confortable bed. The bathroom tastefully set out with sumptuous towels and bathrobes provided. Everything was spotless, tea & coffee is provided in your room but you can also sit in the lounge with coffee & homemade cakes provided downstairs. The garden is stunning and we were lucky to see a duck and ducklings on the pond.
We had one of the best breakfasts with generous portions. Both Mandy and Kevin were great hosts, friendly and welcoming. The house is walking distance from the town with lots of eating places and the river running through. Mandy will help guide you where to visit. Amble Harbour was pretty, visit the Old Custom House which is a cafe, with views out to the harbour.
We will definitely be coming back here to stay, we met many returning guests.

Excellent in every aspect. Mandy and Kevin the owners excellent hosts. It was a pleasure to spend time in this lovely tasteful accommodation wth the most beautiful garden in which you could spend time. The breakfasts were amazing beautifully presented and nothing was a problem for these very knowledgeable hosts.

Fairfield house was well situated close to Warkworth and the beach. The hosts were excellent, very attentive with lovely little touches like freshly made cakes left each day and nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous breakfasts. Highly recommend.

A PERFECT STAY

We stayed in the self catering garden apartment with our cocker spaniel. The accommodation had everything we needed from the fluffy towels and robes to the bowls, blanket and treats for the dog. The cleanliness was second to none, the bed so comfortable and the shower was amazing. As an added bonus we were treated to lemon drizzle cake, shortbread, milk in the fridge, a box of biscuits and a bottle of Ginger Wine. Thank you Mandy and Kevin for a perfect stay.
